the art stlye looks more like disney than anime.
A lot of the stuff does look more of a Western art style except the main characters themselves. The actual characters look like weaboo crap where the props and backgrounds don't.
I'll just go play BlazeBlue or GuiltyGear, thanks.
skullgirls doesn't even play the same as blazblue or guilty gear
Looks cool, but I'm not sure how they expect you to play with one hand.
da dum tish
Would probably get this if it was on PC.
They said on their Twitter that a PC release on Steam was looking likely, but as a small studio they can't release on 3 platforms simultaneously. Sounds fair to me, I'm looking forward to hearing more PC news.
I love how the chick in the black is able to call for the soldier guys.

under 10 for a game like this??? hahahaha more like at least $20.
they refuse to talk about the price but it can't be full-price if it's on xbla/psn, right?
This thread teaches an interesting lesson. 1. Create informative content-full thread regarding a game you heard about. 2. Have first six posts insult the game's art style and rate the OP dumb.
We need more fighting games on Steam
For some reason, the gameplay reminds me of Blazblue. Which has amazing gameplay. So I will definitely be taking a gander at this when it comes out.
Well it's being developed in part by Mike_Z of Iron Tager fame... I think I will buy this game if it gets on steam. I need more fighting games like this
Great OP Will say though the guys who are making it need to stop being so neckbeard about it, they rarely say anything to spark interest in a more casual crowd and strictly focus on in depth mechanics only. It's really alienating to those who just want a fun random fighter.
I like the "throwback" feel to the artstyle, but it plays with my head in some odd ways. Like whenever I see that one city-at-night stage, for a split second I am absolutely convinced that the background music for it must be Puttin' on the Ritz.
We need more fighting games on Steam
And less that are yearly editions. [sp]SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV ARCADE EDITION REDUX EXTREME FIGHTING TOURNAMENT II[/sp]
I like how on facepunch you guys are all about gay rights and crap like that, freedom of choice related topics but god forbid if someone likes a drawing style they're weaboo no life neckbeards? just food for thought
And less that are yearly editions. [sp]SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV ARCADE EDITION REDUX EXTREME FIGHTING TOURNAMENT II[/sp]
yearly??? sf4 came out back in 2009 on steam, ae came out in 2011.
yearly??? sf4 came out back in 2009 on steam, ae came out in 2011.
2010 was Super Street Fighter IV. Don't get me wrong, SF is fun, but that's 3 full price games in 3 years with minor differences.
2010 was Super Street Fighter IV.
that didn't come out on steam.
that didn't come out on steam.
Yes they did. They released Super Street Fighter IV: [del]Repackaged[/del] Arcade Edition. It's the same thing.
I like how on facepunch you guys are all about gay rights and crap like that, freedom of choice related topics but god forbid if someone likes a drawing style they're weaboo no life neckbeards? just food for thought
Who said anything about liking fags? [sp]Joke.[/sp]
We need more fighting games on Steam
Yeah, this is another reason why I want Skullgirls. Either GFWL sucks or no one plays SFIV online. Everytime I find an opponent they're either super pros or 400 ping.
Yes they did. They released Super Street Fighter IV: [del]Repackaged[/del] Arcade Edition. It's the same thing.
if you honestly think ae is anything like super you're dumb. [editline]4th August 2011[/editline]
2010 was Super Street Fighter IV. Don't get me wrong, SF is fun, but that's 3 full price games in 3 years with minor differences.
sf4 had a price of 50/60 bucks. super had a price of 40. ae had a price of 15 bucks as dlc for super. totally 3 full priced games.
if you honestly think ae is anything like super you're dumb.

did you not read the part where i said it was 15 bucks as dlc to super? of course it's going to be 40 bucks on steam, it's both super and ae content combined together because super never came to pc.
Can we please stop oversexualising female characters in games? It is possible to create interesting female characters without throwing boobs all over the screen Looks good, otherwise!

You realize he was talking about the actual DLC for consoles and not AE for the PC right AE on Steam is everything from SFIV, SSFIV and SSFIV:AE. For $40, that's still an amazing deal.
parasouls medium kick has random upskirt that is all i learned from that video
Will say though the guys who are making it need to stop being so neckbeard about it, they rarely say anything to spark interest in a more casual crowd and strictly focus on in depth mechanics only. ("fun random fighters" are generally pretty bad at high levels too. see: smash bros) but don't worry they added some mechanics to help newer players (infinite escape, easy 360's) and you can probably still roll your face across the buttons and have cool things happen!
