I've always wondered what was so amazing about the Saiga in AMK, So I decided to do a proper playthrough of AMK:SE, just got to Strelok's stash and found a Modified Saiga, and all I can say is.. my god it's so awesome

Maaaaaan
Dear god, just attacked the saw mill to get tools for Cardan, didn't realize there were zombified stalkers until I was alreay inside the camp, left as quick as I could, more crap happened, I got stuck inside a room with a zombie in the doorway and another entering through a hole in the wall, pistol jammed and rifle empty, made it out with barely any health left, destroyed the rest with no problem, realized FRAPS was running the whole time. Long story short, video's uploading now
I want the fucking zombies to function like they do in Uncle Yars mission. Fucking hell. :(
We all do paravin, we all do.
Just entered Wild territory in AMK:SE, something's doing wierd wind-ghost noises and giving me purple blurry vision I can't remember what does that, pls help [editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] Nevermind, found that fucking controller
Lets be like the skyrim thread and write poems about stalker :v:
Lets be like the skyrim thread and write poems about stalker :v:
Nah, I think our "thing" is the "REAL stalkers [difficult or impossible feat] with [severe handicap]." and short fanfiction stories.

I was in the bar when my screen started going blue and showing signs of psy stuff. By the time I got there all but one of them was a zombie and the last guy was bent over about to become a zombie. None of them even fired a shot at the controller. I have a screenshot somewhere. First time I played CoP perfectly fine 60FPS constantly, no problems. Second time I loaded up my save, the framerate had dropped considerably, nothing on my PC was different. I turned from E.Dynamic Lighting DX10 down to just E.Dynamic Lighting, back to 60fps. Third time and any subsequent time I loaded up my save, I get awful stuttering constantly, I've fucked around with every setting and I cannot find any way to solve the problem. It's actually preventing me from even wanting to play CoP at all, even though I love it. Solution, anybody?
Hello, I have been lurking this thread for a bit and I can't help to express some frustrations I've come across. So I've bought all three STALKER games at the summer sale, and it's only been recently that I've started playing them. I bought SoC retail before but I figured why not but it on steam as well. I began with vanilla SoC with the optimized shaders that has been recommended in this megathread, I had 21 hours of great fun.[sp]Would've been less if I called it a day with my first ending, which was DURR I WANT TO BE RICH.[/sp] Now today I've began on Clear Sky, playing them on order of release. But what I noticed is that this game is fucking hard. Here, start off with a shitty shotgun and an inaccurate pistol and try to kill renegades that can see through fucking bushes. Oh yeah, just before you clear an area we'll cancel the order and be like; "WHERE ARE YOU, WE NEED HELP HERE1!!!!" But that's not that bad, I can live with that. Now I'm at Cordon, south entrance was a waste of time to even go there. So I went back to the swamp to find the North exit to Cordon. Sadly I was greeted there with STALKERS that apparently hate me for being a merc, of which I have no idea how they would even recognize me as one. I have no way to get past to the trader without getting shot at by 8 at the same time. Sure I can find some cover, but that doesn't help when 4 grenades are simultaneously thrown in my direction. Also my bandages run out super fast, since you have to use 1-3 times depending on the severity to make the bleeding stop. Is this supposed to be a much harder and unforgiving game compared to SoC? Because the whole Cordon issue is making me pull my hair out.
First time I played CoP perfectly fine 60FPS constantly, no problems. Is it running fine when you start a new game?
Look at your tasks with the task manager, check if your anitvirus is updating anything, and check if there is any unnecessary shit on your computer that hinders performance, i.e Pando Media Booster. What helped me is this: Start your game, then alt+tab out of it. Open task manager, go to processes, look for your game and right click on it. Move to "set priority" and change it to "high".
Run through the MG fire, it's easy once you get a pattern down. Run cover to cover and wait for the firing to stop, then bolt to the next piece of cover and keep heading in a general left direction until you can sprint straight away from the MG with a tree or something blocking it's line of sight. And go easier on the bandages, light bleeding will go away on it's own so there isn't too much need to spam them.

Nevertheless I'll try it in a hour or two, thanks. :v:
We all had to pull through it. Did you expect to waltz through the zone as a fridge in Clear Sky? When you emerge, you will be a man.
I'm not sure if it'll help but, is it only occurring on that savefile? Is it running fine when you start a new game?
Just tried making a new game, the stuttering was there from the outset.

Ooh la la la la. I suddenly got a massive STALKER boner. Imma gonna play some AMK:SE to have a good time and then die because It'll be awesome. And please don't be a bitch karma
I want to install AtmosFear 3, but apparentally it says I have to start a new game? Even that it is REQUIRED. Do you guys know if I REALLY have to do it? I really don't wanna start over again. :v:
Yeah, you do.
Yeah, you do.
Is it really worth updating to if I have AtmosFear 2?
Not if you're already part-way through a game I would suggest.
