holy shit it's leon
hello!
How are you even meant to get to the Clear Sky base in TFW?
I was wondering the same about Limansk. I trekked through the Forest alone to the bridge, only to find out that it has been raised, thus making Limansk unaccessible.
hello!
what the FUCK K
I was wondering the same about Limansk. I trekked through the Forest alone to the bridge, only to find out that it has been raised, thus making Limansk unaccessible.
Blocked off until the dev can figure out what to do with it
Woke up at 9AM thinking I'd play STALKER today It's now 7PM and I haven't started up a single videogame I love my fucking life

Ahh, sod it! I backupped my Redux saves and decided to give "Swartz mod" a chance. Here's a description in case anyone is interested :
Features : *Overhauled radiation system. There are no on-screen indicators, instead you’ll notice the effects of radiation based on visual cues such as screen wobble, blurred vision, etc. *New AI by Alundaio. AI is far more intelligent and responsive. *Atmosfear 3. * Good reputation among a stalker or small squad of stalkers will allow you to recruit them as companions *Random weapon loadout system for all AI that dynamically randomizes weapons for all factions and ranks. *Ammunition now plays a bigger role in how you will play the game. Enemies will drop very little loot *Traders have steeper prices all around. [editline]gset[/editline] *MSO is also apparently included in this as well *New weapons! Current list: GSh-18, Vepr-12, Steyr Aug A3, PP1901 Vitayz, APS Stechkin, Ruger GP-100, SKS, AK-103, Sako M95, M-14 Sopmod, HK 416. *Mutants have a small chance of dropping parts that you can sell to certain traders for decent money. *Several new scopes that go with specific weapons, with all no reticules. *Better particle effects as well as different shells depending on type of cartridge and rifle v. pistol. *General re-balance of game to make it more intense and atmospheric. Survival will be a struggle. *Incorporation of a wide variety of new sound effects, new music, new music, new menu, hud, load-screens, etc. *Better looking terrain *Deadlier creatures that come out at different times of day or night and behave more in-line with their class (carnivore v. herbivores). *Very mild new recoil effect added to all automatic weapons. *New effects for when you get attacked, as well as a wide variety of other things. There is a small chance that you will drop your weapon depending on how hard you've been hit. *Subtitles & Russian audio mod incorporated. Subtitles can be configured or even turned off in the Sound menu. So there's no way to get to the Clear Sky base in TFW?
yeah well im not him. i recall hating him for having a similar name
:( fuck this hsit
So there's no way to get to the Clear Sky base in TFW?
Hah, there really isn't? In my Bandit playthrough I never got around to attacking Clear Sky, I always wondered if you could actually attack them... Good thing my first playthrough was as Clear Sky.
Well could someone recommend any other good mod for Clear Sky? TFW was a lot of fun.
Well could someone recommend any other good mod for Clear Sky? TFW was a lot of fun.
Spartan 11:11
no but acting as if i should know every single detail by heart is stupid
To be fair, monolith and bandits are pretty different.
Well could someone recommend any other good mod for Clear Sky? TFW was a lot of fun.
TFW is probably the most fun we'll ever have with Clear Sky Also, spending 5 minutes in Swartz mod is already making me miss Redux because Redux didn't have the minimap,NPC counter or the detection meters but still had health displayed on screen. [editline]durp[/editline] I also have to download the Variation Mod separately
ok
I wasn't being anal about you confusing monolith with bandits, just wondering what mod you were using since I've never seen bandits in Red Forest, even in AMK.
To be fair, monolith and bandits are pretty different.
ok
yeah well im not him. i recall hating him for having a similar name
Your avatar is hilarious.
"Do you feel that, Dmitrii?" The birds of the morning sun grew quiet and the sky darkened ever-so slightly. "What are you talking about Mikhail? I feel nothing. Come now, we must go before black flies come out." Dimitrii never liked Mikhail, he felt he was too young to be venturing in the zone, but he knows the kid's dark secrets. "But Dmitrii, I feel a-", "Silence, you'll attract the mutants." "Where are we going anyway? I thought camp is back that way?" Mikhail has never been this far from home base. "I've received co-ordinates from the scavenger about this locked chest by the gas station, said it was guarded by a few muties, I bet it's one of those emergency chests people used to keep before hell broke loose." Mikhail was only a callow youth, ignorant, greedy and thought himself better than others. Dmitrii knew he wouldn't last long if he kept his attitude. "So you mean it has medical supplies in it?", "Yeah, something like that." A light fog started to roll in, further dimming the morning light. "Mikhail, do you hear that?" The question caught him off guard, "Hear what?", "it's too quiet... something's not right here..." The morning was calm. Too calm. "Something big is coming, the air changed, the wind stopped, the birds are quiet, Dmitrii, do you feel it now?" Could it be that Mikhail could feel emissions grow before everyone else? "Come, the gas station's not too far ahead now, we must hurry, it's just over the-" There is no way Mikhail could prepare for what he was about to see. "Holy shit, what the hell is that?"
It's updated and sloppy, but I can't quite figure out what needs to be fixed Prepare your CritCannons, 'cause I could use some criticism “Ah, you’ve never been this far from camp, have you? This is the gravitational field, the anomalies have torn this hill apart. What we have here, we call the ‘Claw’ anomaly. You see? The torn land there sort of looks like a huge claw rising up from under the hill” Mikhail was awestruck, frozen in fear. The smell of the air turned from the faint rot of flesh and swamp to the stench of sulfur and rotting metal. “Dmitrii! We must get out of here!” In the distance, a faint pop reverberated the through the air.Rocks danced upon the ground and the swamp water rippled. “Mikhail! See those caves? Dodge the anomalies and get in, it’s an emission!” Mikhail stumbled over shifted stones and lost balance as the earth started to shake violently. He barely made it in as lighting erupted across the sky. Dmitrii got caught in the heat of the storm and suffered severe radiation burns as Mikhail settled in the back of the cave. The sky turned blood-red, irradiated clouds began to blot out the sun and new light shone in from the enormous explosions emitting from the north. “Dmitrii! Are you alright?” The skin that was exposed boiled in the heat of the light and skin that was lightly covered singed. “Give me your anti-rads, the burns will heal. It’s the radiation that will kill me.”
well I think I'm finally gonna get Shadow of Chernobyl. Is buying it off Steam a good bet?
Then that is just stuttering due to the game having to juggle data between your RAM and your swap file on your hard drive.

Maybe he stutters because of prefetching?

Hm. I guess he could try enabling prefetching again and see if it works better.

Maybe he hadn't even taken it off from the start.
Can someone explain this stuff? And what I should do to get rid of this annoying ass stuttering?
well I think I'm finally gonna get Shadow of Chernobyl. Is buying it off Steam a good bet?
Yeah, it automatically patches it to the latest stable verison, very convenient. Mods don't break with the steam version either.
Examines helicopter UNLEASH THE PIGS
because there was a guy named "Leon" in here that got perma'd a long time ago and everyone expects him to come back.
he's still around but he mostly posts in the airsoft forum
Can someone explain this stuff? And what I should do to get rid of this annoying ass stuttering?
Prefetching is a process that is a part of the X-Ray engine. It preloads all the game models before the level does, making it so that the game doesn't have to process everything when it's near the player. However, it eats up RAM like a bitch and increases the load times, making the game a little less enjoyable. To turn it off you can type in -noprefetch in the game shortcut's target bar. However you might still get stuttering since the game is loading models as you're going around the map.
So is there anyway I could get rid of stuttering?
Urgh, I had already forgotten how retarded Call of Pripyat vanilla is with the "hurr, holster your weapon at your base or else"-bs was Thankfully Ceano had a mod for that and it works wonders. Now, if only I knew where to find a mod that removes the base alerts(and preferably nothing else)........
Wait so in TFW you have to give ammo to your squad mates? No more unlimited ammo like previous versions?
