There is a repairing bug?
Using 4-5(?) Battery artifacts you can repair your stuff by jumping to the Electro anomaly You can only repair suits with that method but let's be perfectly honest : By the time your Rapid-Fire AK-74 wears out to an unusable state, you're already in Red Forest. [editline]hurp[/editline] Yeah, you'll also heal yourself while doing that :v: At least that's what the wiki says, I have never done that myself.
Claim the entire zone, then eliminate your own faction to become the supreme Stalker.
If any of you are unable to save Shadow of Chernobyl, or if you know someone who are, then have a look at my thread: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1107510-GUIDE-How-to-fix-S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-Shadow-of-Chernobyl-being-unable-to-load-any-saves.
Claim the entire zone, then eliminate your own faction to become the supreme Stalker.
In TFW, is it possible to kill EVERYONE? If so, I might just to a playthrough like that. Would be so fucking fun to fight loners, bandits, duty, freedom, military, renegades, clear sky, etc all at once :v: [editline]15th July 2011[/editline]
There's a megathread for a reason. Also that wouldn't work for anyone who has the common sense to make some proper install directories. Or installed on a different drive.
What the fuck. Clear Sky. Join Duty. Trek over to Dark Vally. Help duty take the two camps by the entrances. Single Handedly clear the swamp. Wait for backup to claim it. 15 minutes spent fighting off hippies later, No backup. Go north and Single handedly clear entire Freedom base. Take last guy out with a shot to the back of the head that makes him flip 360* (worth mentioning.) Duty boss: "WE have taken the freedom base, good work to all involved." Fuckin' commies, tryin' ta' share MY fucking victory. Fuck you. Also, now walking to nearest trader weighed down by the SEVEN TONNE pile of weapons and vodka I looted from my freshly killed foe. I would share them out among my fellow duty, but well, you can either steal my guns, or my credit.
NPCs have a tendency to do that in the faction warfare. You would not belive how many times I killed the bandits in the hangar, only to have _____ yell how they captured the fation base. It gets even worse in normal CS because base NPCs respawn as long as another faction did not occupy it the instant the last one died.
You won't be able to destroy Clear Sky, you can't reach their base if they're hostile.
Unless he starts the rampage from the inside of Clear Sky base That is, unless he needs a guide to get OUT as well. [editline]durr[/editline] Can't wait to find out what plans the team has for Limansk.. Personally I'd want to see an Armed-to-fucking-teeth Military stronghold that dispatches assault squads (maybe even an occasional Helicopter) to clear the Forest and beyond when you finally get to lower the bridge (by taking control of the Forest and the Army Warehouses or something). Beyond Limansk would be the Monolith controlled Hospital and the Chernobyl NPP.
You won't be able to destroy Clear Sky, you can't reach their base if they're hostile.
No fences mod. Problem solved. There will be no respawning, once they're all dead, correct?
Writer here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CHLzj75sI-assC20C1yPNaxYHKK1fZhdxLl4mguwDsg/edit?hl=en_US The reason why this is taking so long to write is because I'm taking it slowly usually, a story this length I can write in just a few hours, but this one I'm taking slowly. That way I have time to cherish the detail, edit carefully and always have a fresh, new form of imagination each day to work with as opposed to becoming mentally exhausted. Give it a read here, Google Docs will automatically update when I add each new line. I'll post again when I have two or more new paragraphs
No fences mod. Problem solved. There will be no respawning, once they're all dead, correct?
Not sure how it works in TFW, but in CS vanilla the stalkers in faction bases respawn if an influence of another faction is not there.
Not sure how it works in TFW, but in CS vanilla the stalkers in faction bases respawn if an influence of another faction is not there.
IIRC in TFW once you destroy a faction, they're dead permanently.
IIRC in TFW once you destroy a faction, they're dead permanently.
Yeah, I know that, but I'm not sure what happens if one of your squads did not arrive in their base.
Is there an easy way to bump up the weight limit a bit in SoC? I looked it up and it apparantly involves editing a certain file but I'm not sure how you access them on the steam version.

http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Stalker_Weight_Mod;93328 You should download this and then set the values to your liking.

The moment the last one is killed a group of 7 will spawn and instantly open fire. To this day they are still sending out poorly armed troops to the outpost in hopes of capturing them.

Thanks for the help!
I'm looking at the features of Redux, and almost everything on the list I swear I thought of while playing Vanilla. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. Also, what graphics overhauls should I use with Redux? EDIT: Oshit the full version comes with AtmosFear? Kickass.
I hope you have fun :)
I just installed Redux and the readme said something about a custom difficulty. I cannot find it so do I just leave it at master?
I just installed Redux and the readme said something about a custom difficulty. I cannot find it so do I just leave it at master?
You've not installed it right if there's no Redux difficulty in the place of Master.
Hello everyone! I'm new here, but I'm not new to stalker, I have been registered to various other stalker pages for years now :) Just wanted to be a part of this page too, because as I can see it's really active in here, not like in other forums :)
All I did was use the Redux installer and throw in the patch, did I have to un-update to a certain patch to?
Yeah, I know that, but I'm not sure what happens if one of your squads did not arrive in their base.
Easy. I'll just have to
derailed the Killing floor thread with Stalker jokes :smug:
Good morning, stalkers! I had to seek refuge after a very bad blowout, but I'm fine! So, what's new?
Good morning, stalkers! I had to seek refuge after a very bad blowout, but I'm fine! So, what's new?
Good morning! Well, now that one of my spawned NPC's is giving me a crash with error "ny vertex in patrol path [exo_alexey_walkeris_texaso_rangeris] in inaccessible for object [bar_freedom_attacker_1]" I will try to move him somewhere else :) Damn AI maps...
If I do one of those missions where you have to fetch an item but I keep it will it disappear after I fail the mission?
If I do one of those missions where you have to fetch an item but I keep it will it disappear after I fail the mission?
No it will not
Looking at Crisis's arts, and they are hot. Especially those bloodfuckers.
Looking at Crisis's arts, and they are hot.
After spending a year or two in the Zone you'd probably make love to anything that has a hole.
I'll be gone for a week exploring what I believe to be the most mysterious anomaly of all... the outdoors. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline]
After spending a year or two in the Zone you'd probably make love to anything that has a hole.
so a rock?
I hope I'm not being bothersome but could someone help me with my difficulty problem with Redux. It seems that Master is not being replaced with the Redux difficulty and I really have no clue what I should do.
