10 bandages (20 or more in CS.)
I wish the stats could track what you have wasted the most money on and how much since I have a feeling the bandages are what is killing my economy in CS. Especially, when my finger slips and I accidentally press "t" instead of "r" when I need to reload
I don't know how you manage with so little ammo. I'm guessing you stay out of hubs for only very short periods of time. I usually stalk around the Zone, looting everything and carrying all kinds of odds and ends with me for long expanses of time, until I return to the Bar to sell my loot and restock on food and medicals. Usual load out for me: SEVA/Bulat/Sunrise suit (I only use Exos if it's CoP.) Assault rifle ~300 5.45/5.56 (Depends on the weapon, obviously.) Shotgun (I leave it out if the weight limit has been lowered, like in LURK.) 60-80 buckshot (No slugs, I find them worthless.) 5-3 medkits of any kind (10 if I know I'll be getting shot at often.) 10 bandages (20 or more in CS.) 5 anti-rads (Left out if I have anti-rad artifacts.) 3 loaves of bread (Nothing in CS.)
I usually trek across all of Zaton like that, during the night. In Redux. Made most of the missions in pripyat in two runs, and I forgot to restock on ammo for the second one. Had to kill two monoliths with my knife. I even streamed it, some people here might've seen it.

I used to have shift and tab binded to fire mode selecting but then I got this cheap Logitech gaming mouse with side buttons so now I use those for fire modes. Basically, every bind is close to one that is related to it, such as reload and ammo type swapping, medkit and bandage. I've kept flashlight in "l" to simulate moving your hand away from the weapon to switch the light on/off.
In my upcoming mod average carry weight for suit will be 25 kilos... So yeah, I try to make mine less than that :D EDIT: but in this mod there will be quite a few artifacts which give you extra carry weight (just like in Clear Sky or Call Of Pripyat), but highly radioactive :)
It also made the game return to it's scavengan roots because you couldn't bring your entire armory with you and you learnt to only take the best loot and be tactical with your choices. Does anyone know how you can change the inventory to correspond with my new weight limits ? [editline]durr[/editline] Urgh, my attempt at making Swartz mod visually bearable failed because I can't incorporate Variation mod into it I can't see the mod going in any decent direction since the general consensus seems to be :
Haha I remember that guy.
Sounds interesting, so its safe to say its aimed towards realism?
Yeah, I try to point it towards realism. Of course, some things can't be changed, as they would break the gameplay... But, we will see :)
In the latest Steam vanilla version of ShoC, there are no repairers or any traders who can fix suits etc. right? I remember hearing somewhere in some patch notes that they fixed the suits being stupid durable, but I'd think they'd at least add someone who can fix them. Is it possible without mods? Because I don't want to add mods until I finish ShoC again. Also, why does ShoC and CoP run fine, but CS lags like a bitch? It doesn't make sense.

Your only hope is finding enough Batteries so you can fix your suit by jumping in an electro, as most of us know.
Tried that once, it did nothing for me.
Tried that once, it did nothing for me.
You didn't try for long enough then. It takes time if you only have 4 same artifacts. With 5 it's quite fast.
Using 4-5(?) Battery artifacts you can repair your stuff by jumping to the Electro anomaly You can only repair suits with that method but let's be perfectly honest : By the time your Rapid-Fire AK-74 wears out to an unusable state, you're already in Red Forest. [editline]hurp[/editline] Yeah, you'll also heal yourself while doing that :v: At least that's what the wiki says, I have never done that myself.
It's possible to do that in fire and acid anomalies too right? With the appropriate artifacts of course.
It's possible to do that in fire and acid anomalies too right? With the appropriate artifacts of course.
It's possible with every anomaly of the game and proper artifacts which reduce effects of that anomaly
I think there was even a way to heal yourself and your armor by falling long distances.
Jump off the bridge in Cordon. So, does anyone know why Clear Sky lags way more than it should?
Gah, so many links to download AMK and I don't know which one would be reliable or not...so I gave up. Can anyone please tell me where to get it ? (reliable source if possible)
STALKER series megathread - Without our david we will not withstand [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] :suicide: [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] But then I found a monolith exoskeleton in a stash right next to the barge so it's okay
But then I found a monolith exoskeleton in a stash right next to the barge so it's okay
Oh yea? Can you tell me more?
Oh yea? Can you tell me more?
SGM for Call of pripyat [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] that is all you need to know [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] Holy fuck what the fuck WHEN DID I GET 5928 POSTS
STALKER series megathread - Without our david we will not withstand
Oh dear.... That mission . Felt like a king when I was done with it,though. [editline]gg[/editline] Though during the fight David got wounded and I looted his FAL before giving him a medkit so that kind of balances it out.
Just found his FAL "FAL FALL" sounds legit
Well I got Redux working and it has to be the best mod ever. I was filling the Bloodsucker lair with gas and it was all stormy and hard to hear. I managed to kill two of them charging at me but I kept imagining a third. The whole walk back to the ship I kept hearing its yell. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] Also what do lighters and flashlights do? [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] and batteries.

Ah, I also love how at some moments I'll be on my last few rounds but I always seem to make it through. You did a wonderful job on this mod.
Jump off the bridge in Cordon. So, does anyone know why Clear Sky lags way more than it should?
Use Kingo's shaders.
cheap Logitech gaming mouse with side buttons so now I use those for fire modes.
I use the side buttons for quicksave/quickload :v:
Is it the MX518 (or whatever it's called)?
Where do I find the psuedodog thing?
Is it the MX518 (or whatever it's called)?
Describe?
Where do I find the psuedodog thing?
They're the shark faced looking dogs.
