S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread - Taste vanilla before you add sprinkles~ - Games

Shit, i just realized i never completed CoP. Never played Clear Sky or Shadow of Chernobyl either. *Toddles off play CoP*

Can anyone recommend any mods for any of the STALKER games that enchance the immersion & "RPG" experience? Can be graphics, game changing etc, I've finished CoP but not shadow of chernobyl (Lost my save a long time ago and cant bother to replay, good game tho)

After that, if you don't have S.T.A.L.K.E.R : Clear Sky, download either Call of Pripyat : Redux, I Work Alone or Call from Pripyat. If you want immersion and atmosphere, try to play as "realistically" as possible as in what would [B]you[/B] do if you were put inside the game world. Also, save only inside the safe zones for maximum tension and atmosphere. It'll make you weigh the risks and rewards more cautiously and ultimately make you think like a real stalker (especially if playing Redux).

Interesting.[/QUOTE] On the other hand I'm relieved that we won't have a crappy protagonist but it'll feel kind of weird starting the game as perhaps the most legendary Stalker in the Zone if the game starts you in the shallow end of the children't swimming pool difficulty-wise. Hopefully this would mean that the S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 would be difficulty-wise aimed for people who have played all three games and not "hurrhurr,we want S2 to be the best point for new players to jump into the series" so that the difficulty would correspond to your status as a veteran Stalker who has seen almost everything in the Zone.

So far all the STALKERs have had kick-ass protagonists so I doubt GSC is going to fuck up on that, they seem to know what they're doing

I've already failed a couple side missions just because I don't wanna walk back and collect the reward, when there's still loads to do in the area I'm in. The games fun but the lengthy travel feels a bit tedious at times.

I want snow or even better: seasons! with snow gear and stuff for the winter and regular stuff other times. I think we all know that will never happen though and to anyone arguing no one would play long enough for a single season change, there's some guy on the GSC forum that played a single playthrough of SoC for 3 ingame years. He spent it all just being a STALKER: lootin, stalkan, stashan, etc

I hope they add regenerating health, bloody screen, acog, more scopes, lots of scripted events. Oh and each $15 DLC includes 4 arifacts.

I'm thinking about reinstalling STALKER with COMPLETE 2009. How much more demanding is it with COMPLETE? Will an Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM and a 5850 be able to play it decently at 1920x1080? Oh, and to which version should I update the game before installing the mod?

Vanilla game ( no gameplay alterations ) + Atmosfear 3 + Atmosfear addons + Reloaded textures + FOV Modifier = best Call of Prypriat this year all years

ATPs > Reloaded textures (if Reloaded doesn't in fact use the ATPs)
