An emission did it Such is life in the Zone

Uncle Yar what are you doing in a suit.
I read that a bit before, but that answers about the quantity and rarity of artifacts, not their effects. I was more talking about their effects and whatnot, because they were drastically different in the last two games than in SoC. Or it can still be said that "An emission did it".
Yeah well if you are looking for reasons - emission. But in real, creators just did it because it would be cooler to have completely new artifacts than having the same with only a few new. Plus, as we can see in the CSKY and COP the new artifacts are really bright... I like the old ones from SOC more :)
Is ~700 pistol bullets too much to need?
Is ~700 pistol bullets too much to need?
Not if your packing a Makarov.
There's no such thing as too much boolets.
Is ~700 pistol bullets too much to need?
Well in Redux I just rushed with a colt 1911 and even 25 bullets were enough.
I wish there was redux for SoC.
On the other hand I'm relieved that we won't have a crappy protagonist but it'll feel kind of weird starting the game as perhaps the most legendary Stalker in the Zone if the game starts you in the shallow end of the children't swimming pool difficulty-wise. Hopefully this would mean that the S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 would be difficulty-wise aimed for people who have played all three games and not "hurrhurr,we want S2 to be the best point for new players to jump into the series" so that the difficulty would correspond to your status as a veteran Stalker who has seen almost everything in the Zone.
Same. I'm not really sure how they'd handle something like that though. Perhaps some sort of situation that leaves you bruised and your equipment fucked so that you have to take it easy and hang back in areas like the Cordon and the Garbage for a while while you earn cash and earn some cash and scrounge up some better equipment to get you back on the road again. That might be a bit too much like the first game though. I'm sure they'll think of something. GSC (generally) doesn't disappoint.
I wish there was redux for SoC.
there is but it's not very good
I never played a modded ShoC.

This shields him from the emission and he survives due to his exosuit, but it fucks up all his weapons and he has to start over.
I hope we get to meet Degytarev. And Scar. At the same time. And drink vodka with them.
Maybe in kids game they do. In real life no one would give a shit about anyone, unless you give them something. Huh, and yeah, funny how you tried to insult me. Didn't quite succeed anyways.
I dunno. There's this one line about this expert STALKER (or was he an ecologist?), Otter, who everybody seemed to love. Then, out of nowhere, bam, he's dead. Everyone seems to know about this. This is a line GSC put in by default I believe, so I'm pretty sure the STALKERs (at least the neutral ones who do a bit of traveling) try to keep themselves up to date with the latest news. It makes sense after all. Wouldn't it be good to know if an old friend is in the area?
pretty sure in a group strelok would be pretty easy to spot i dont know why
Because he'd be glowing because of artifacts and leave a trail of flying cash behind him.

We could have him start out with that, just in poor condition, stranded, and alone. The location isn't a bad idea I think. Assuming the Swamps are pretty desolate, with only a handful of expert STALKERs scattered throughout the vast area, that could be a pretty intense start to the game (a good thing imo. The beginning shouldn't lull rookies into a false sense of security. It should be like "here's the zone. deal with it" while not making it so hard that all but the seasoned veterans smash their keyboards to bits) [editline]16th July 2011[/editline]
There's no such thing as too much boolets.
The Colt 1911 in Redux is so boss. Most satisfying head shots ever with that gun.

[editline]16th July 2011[/editline] Maybe he specialised in swamp warfare? That would match his name.
there is but it's not very good
Redux Extreme for SoC was the best gaming experience I've ever had. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] God I miss it.
Who made Redux for ShoC? Thorny?
Who made Redux for ShoC? Thorny?
Nope, the original Redux Team. Victim, Melodic, Solecist, Gohda and the gang.
was talking to someone on steam, "im playing shadow of chernobyl, im into the garbage. how far am I? I'm also using complete 2009 mod." after much difficulty, i got him to uninstall it
Why is it that i cant even get past the second mission in CS?
was talking to someone on steam, "im playing shadow of chernobyl, im into the garbage. how far am I? I'm also using complete 2009 mod." after much difficulty, i got him to uninstall it
Nice job. I personally don't like """complete""" too.
Play vanilla first god damn it.
Clear sky is the only game that should be played with complete because bugs
Clear sky is the only game that should be played with complete because bugs
The bugs represent Scar's troubled childhood, you sheep
The bugs represent Scar's troubled childhood, you sheep
wat
90% original levels, that's pretty sweet news.
Snip
Whenever I try to get to Jupiter from Zaton via Pilot in redux, my game crashes. Does anyone else get this?
I'm pretty new to the game, and I'm currently in some weird underground bunker filled with bandits and green acid. Maybe an hour or two into the first game. I saw something that looked like water, moving toward me and just started shooting randomly. Then when it came close, I saw it was some kind of monster. I literally jumped, got extremely scared. I killed it, but it got me down to about 1/4 of my life. It had some really creepy tentacles out of the mouth and it was naked. It looked like a huge man, with some kind of blackish skin. What the christ IS that? Is it supposed to appear in your face? It also had blood all over it. Exited the game right there.
How much I would pay to renew that same experience :(
