What is it with people and playing with Complete? Complete doesn't really add anything I'd give two fucks about.

Which if you were me, you killed.

Is it even possible to upgrade weapons in Redux?

Actually, sometimes he doesn't come during that battle. And it was never confirmed that Charon was Scar, and just because Scar was a badass doesn't mean he became the leader of the Monolith. Sure they both use VSS Vintorez rifles, but there's still isn't any real proof that Scar and Charon are the same person.

He's the only Monolith in SoC that has a designated name, and he's the only NPC in Vanilla that spawns with a VSS. Besides, the rest of Clear Sky made up the Monolith so why not Scar?

I would assume they probably add to the storyline using what existing tid bits they already had. And the only reason Charon probably has a name is because he's in charge of the Monolith, and the reason he has a VSS Vintorez is because he's meant to use higher end equipment than most if not all STALKERS. I can't see Scar as the leader of the Monolith, just maybe as a soldier that managed to survive raids or something.

I support your theory of Charon being Scar, but most likely they thought it out later and it happened to coincide that Charon and Scar both wield Vintorez rifles and are expert Stalkers so maybe they just decided to run with it.

CoP- the mercs are somehow mad at me. They're pretty easy to kill.

I've never really liked Scar. In CS he was a personality-less (Did he ever actually speak? Marked One doesn't have much of a personality either, but at least he talks) merc who got rescued by Clear Sky to go kill Strelok. That's it.

What use are the mercs anyways? What can I do for them?

And Clear Sky was maybe referenced once, if not at all. As for Scar's leadership capabilities, he won't exactly need them when he's a mindless drone patrolling Pripyat.
