Well, it turns out that the Sawn-off was not more accurate than the SVD. Turns out all the bullets merge into one concentrated ball of pain, killing just about anything if it is a head shot.

Lurker here Started to write a small fanfic revolving around the area of Zaton and Skadovsk It's a work in progress, I'll finish it later today For now, tell me what you think I could use some criticism on what to change/add [i] "Do you feel that, Dmitrii?" The birds of the morning sun grew quiet and the sky darkened ever-so slightly. "What are you talking about Mikhail? I feel nothing. Come now, we must go before black flies come out." Dimitrii never liked Mikhail, he felt he was too young to be venturing in the zone, but he knows the kid's dark secrets. "But Dmitrii, I feel a-", "Silence, you'll attract the mutants." "Where are we going anyway? I thought camp is back that way?" Mikhail has never been this far from home base. "I've received co-ordinates from the scavenger about this locked chest by the gas station, said it was guarded by a few muties, I bet it's one of those emergency chests people used to keep before hell broke loose." Mikhail was only a callow youth, ignorant, greedy and thought himself better than others. Dmitrii knew he wouldn't last long if he kept his attitude. "So you mean it has medical supplies in it?", "Yeah, something like that." A light fog started to roll in, further dimming the morning light. "Mikhail, do you hear that?" The question caught him off guard, "Hear what?", "it's too quiet... something's not right here..." The morning was calm. Too calm.
