S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread - Taste vanilla before you add sprinkles~ - Games

Only recently getting back into the series, I find myself becoming very excited for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2. Since the first game, I've always thought it'd be great to do some stalking with a friend. Does the community have something against the idea of co-op in STALKER 2? I have a feeling people don't like that idea for some reason.

You know what? Even after owning the stalker games for several years I have yet to touch MP. Is it just deathmatch where you kill each other in a small arena?

Sounds boring, do you have to buy weapons and armor?

Yeah, you get money when you get a kill, capture, get killed with the default equipment or pick up a pack from a dead body. You unlock more stuff by "ranking up", the ranks only last for that game. Deathmatch on Argoprom is hilarious.

Generally the mp is a good concept but somehow its kind of slow.

I played MP in CoP. The hills were littered with snipers each pointing at the skadovsk.

Clear Sky had so many map glitches...

It's funny to think that STALKER's effective '[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnG6uY0eS4o]precursor[/url]' was a deathmatch game that was really centered around multiplayer. Also, the music in Firestarter was fucking AWESOME.

What's funny is that STALKER was originally gonna be a fast-paced, Serious Sam style game like that. (Aztec concepts, etc)

Having problems with I WORK ALONE 1.2 for COP. Wanted to add in replacement custom footstep sounds, but it doesn't seem to be reading them; just goes back to using the default footsteps. They're named correctly because I just took them from Complete. Read something about some bloodsucker fix which did something with them, probably disabled them. Anyone got anything?
