I'm in lab X-18 (the very beginning). So scared. I hear growls and shit all the time, the atmosphere is so fucking intense. And when I went past the pyrogeist... a snork pounced at me and missed. From behind.
I don't want those fucking documents, barkeep - find another man to do this. :v:
you havent seen the huge banging door ?
when i saw it i was like.
fuck it.

Readied shotgun, mashed in code as fast as I could, then snapped toward the door when I did it the first time. Expected a psuedogiant or something.
I wish Stalker had that Fallout campsite/interior decorating element. Loved that shit.
Having a home or some place to call your own doesn't really fit the atmosphere of the Zone.

Wow, that rhymed really well.

Streloks stash?
Streloks stash?
Plus Forester's place and Hermit's hideout.
Maybe even have recruitable "companions" a little like Fallout : New Vegas and how you recruit stalkers for the journey to Pripyat.
You could have your own technician and medic, and a couple of fighters to go on raids with. Also, you could set up little guard posts, patrol routes and stuff like that.
I can understand the argument that going too far with it would feel too much like The Sims : S.T.A.L.K.E.R edition but when done right, it could fit really well into the atmosphere.
I liked Strelok's stash enough to sit around there for a while every visit, as if it was home. The water tower outside Bloodsucker village has a quite comfy/safe feeling to it as well, so I sometimes sit there peering down my rifle scope even though I am certain I will find nothing.
Forgot to mention. Whats with the Gauss rifle for 800 rubles? I never got the gun. A scam? I even saved the wounded stalker.
Also - got the mama's beads. 2 urchins + crystal saved me.

They tricked you, bro.
I'll leave x-18 just to kill every motherfucker there. With a knife.
EDIT:
I succeeded. They were somewhy startled and were running around the place. Knifed 3, then killed 3 with silenced pistol and only the last 2 turned up on me. Also only when half of them were dead I got "robin-hood" message.
I don't go out at night in Clear Sky anymore, I was minding my own business, roaming around, finding artifacts in that pitch black night without night-vision
Then in the distance, I find a pair of shining white eyes, they come rushing at me.
After that I have to cry myself to sleep every day

Been playing SoC, my first stalker game and having a blast. I like the difficulty.
I appear to be stuck inside some lab. I've just retrieved some documents.
But when I try to leave, flame starts shooting everywhere and the door is being held shut.
How do I escape?
meet my first alpha squad on sgm
and opened fire on them

I want to do this so badly.
BRB going into SGM. Will post experience. Off to Alpha Squad hunt. Although I'm in the Zone just a few days ingame and playing on master, I thinkg It'll be a piece of diet sausage!

What's the name of the lab
[editline]27th July 2011[/editline]
Is it Agroprom underground
What's the name of the lab

I think so. You have to find 2 door codes on the scientists bodies and there's this huge ugly thing with a squished face.
Ok that's x18.

So this made me reinstall shadow of chernobyl for the 100th time and the it was a pain in the ass to install. When i finally got it installed it adds so much shit i got so confused it was like i was playing the game for the first time again and that's some pretty cool stuff but then it decided to crash on me all the time.
Anyway have anyone else tried this? Is it worth the effort?

fuck you, game. Why is there an invisible wall here? It took me a while to get on that pipe there. I WANT TO BE ONE WITH THAT ROOF, GODDAMNIT!

I should either finish my AMK playthrough or get the Soup. Or I should copy my install...
This is weird the UI looks completely different i might have fucked up the installation.
But yeah i'll give the Soup a try.
I wonder if COP has to code to prevent harm to people you need to need to talk to for missions. I had helped break up a bandit arms deal, and after looting the corpses I went outside to speak with the commander, who was chilling outside by a wall. He gave me some reward money. He then proceeded to drop on the ground for no reason and start screaming for a medkit.
That guy can die during combat.
