I decided to buy Duke at Gamestop today since I had extra store credit. So I get home with my game, install it pretty quick and think, "Damn fuck downloading games all the time, I should just get them from the store and install them off the disk". Once the install is done I'm about to click play when I notice it's at 93%. Huh, guess they released a patch for it already. Oh well it probably isn't too big, I then click the downloads page on steam and notice I have to download 430 MB before I can play this. Christ that will take a whole 10 minutes to download and I want to play noooooooooooooooow. Oh well, forget my first world problems. I have to grab a beer anyway because there's no god damn way I'm playing this shit sober.

The shrunken bits are my favorite parts of the game so far.

Skimming through this thread, it looks like a people have mixed opinions on this game. Was this game really worth the hype?

I've played a bit and so far it's not too bad. There are a few things I still don't like about it but I'll give it a while more before I make my final judgement. I played some Multiplayer as well, and that shit is annoying as fuck. It's always shotguns or fucking devastators. I can't hit shit with my pistols and even tho the ripper has a high rate of fire, no one seems to die from it! Ugh...multiplayer is not it's strong point that's for sure.

Just finished it. It was disappointingly short, but not too bad. Certainly not worth 50$ though.

I'm loving this game, I had so much fun messing around in the backstage of the studio. So much interactive shit to do My only complaint so far was controlling the RC, the part where you have to get the power cell

Finishing DNF makes me hope that Gearbox will make a new, better Duke at some point in the future. Hopefully one that does things a bit differently.

I don't get the point of the poker chips. There's just 2 or 3 of them, it's not like you can play with them. Cards are useful, dice are useful too. Other stuff's pretty cool. Shame the russian [I]special (:downs:)[/I] edition got 3 chips, an artbook, a comic book, a game and an unneeded dlc.

You got to be careful though with amazon, just because you order it from the site does not mean it comes from amazon itself. Check who you buy it from, normally it tells you before checkout. I've been shopping with amazon for years, i pay for a prime account as well and never got a package like that before. You can always return it or exchange it though. Support is fairly good.
