I wanted to punch that fucker in the face. I was fucking glad that that motherfucker [sp]died[/sp]
It's a Marcus Fenix parody. He wears a bandanaa, swears like crazy, and bitches about how Duke had to help a friend find his wife (the plot of GoW 2)
Ah, I never played Gears of War except for the first game, which I only played an hour of because I thought it sucked. :v: [editline]15th June 2011[/editline]
I wanted to punch that fucker in the face. For some reason i think the master chief referance might also be referancing that comic that said that duke was master chief. I dont know why.

He did not give one shit about [sp]Dylan dying, which is I think is pretty funny.[/sp]
I heard something about an Ego boost at like 300,000 or something
To get an ego boost from pinball, you only have to beat the machine's high score. In The Duke Cave, the high score is 280,897. At Titty City, the high score there is only 137,900.
Why did a funny silly game get unnessecarily dramatic and sad?
The Hive is no different from the many cocooned babes you find in the infested alien breeding grounds in Duke Nukem 3D.
so Duke gibs in multiplayer when he dies?
Except play a good game.
Did you not see my reply to you above? This game was not made for you. You didn't make complaints that are subjective or reasonable but at least were somewhat polite. I wanted to be nice but now that you're just shitting in this thread I'm just gonna say it. I'm sorry that you can't aim down your sights and call in AC130's, but hey Modern Warfare 3 comes out in a few months so you have that to look forward to you tasteless goddamn casual.:frog: Now that that particular bit of bile has been expelled, as for the paid review comments, they're retarded. Most of the reviewers aren't some sort of corrupt corporate slave to money, they aren't paid to like games like MW2 and especially not to hate games like DNF. MW2, despite what you'd like to think, is a tremendously made game. The campaign accomplishes what it sets out to do with ease and grace (despite the lack of any sense of pacing) and the multiplayer introduces more of what people loved and is also flawlessly executed (huge balance issues aside). People like to think that the reviewers are paid because not only does it make them right, but it also makes them morally superior. Most of the reviewers are just fucking morons who can't do their jobs. Not a single one in the Eurogamer, IGN, or Gamespot reviews actually articulated the games flaws (of which there are many) worth a damn. So some of them did mention legitimate flaws (overuse of puzzles, poor driving mechanics, all of the console issues that come with the shitty porting job) but said them in whiny and annoying ways that just ends up being venom-spitting that isn't quite necessary. As for the Gamespot one in particular, from what I've read that review can read what I said to EastBayWilly above. Actual reviews that are worth a damn in my book: http://www.gamesradar.com/xbox360/duke-nukem-forever/review/duke-nukem-forever-review/a-20110613195512526064/g-20100903112053378011 For consoles. Mikel Reparaz is is cool guy, and he clearly has actually played DN3D and critiques it on it's numerous differences and modern shooter concessions. His points are valid, and considering the game-ruining technical issues on the console version, his 6/10 is about justified. http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/06/10/duke-nukem-forever-review/ This, to my knowledge, is the best review to DNF that's been given, and this is the review a lot of people in the thread will agree with. It's 8/10 is equally justified.
Octabrains. FUCK THEM.
Except play a good game.
I don't know what kind of duke nukem forever you were playing, since the one I played was pretty damn good.
Octabrains. FUCK THEM.
They're not bad, at least on the PC version. Soften them up by tossing a Pipebomb and blow it up while its in their grasp, then hammer them with either the Pistol, Shotgun or Ripper. If they're really close (like the two that appear in the room that's after the twins' scene), throw a Tripmine on them. They can't reflect it.
After finishing it and seeing the earlier gameplay footage I'm somewhat glad it took so long to make like the footage from 2003 I think it was looked really bad apart from that boat bit.
I just got this from gamefly on ps3. I don't really feel like playing it on console. Should I just wait to play it on PC?
Playing through "Damn I'm Good" Difficulty, to anyone who has played it (I only just started) is it the same like Duke 3D where the enemies constantly respawn until u finish or do they just have more health then the other modes. Also to one of the reviews someone posted here that said that there is problems with ammo, yes there are parts like on the rooftop where I ran out of ammo yes, but did the guy remember who he was playing as? Seriosly when I was on the rooftop with 2 of this Assault Commanders (The guys that fly with blades) I killed them both with my fists (no beers or steroids and on "Come Get Some"), I think these reviews are really bad at the game. Edit: To the guy above, yes you should wait to get the PC version
I just got this from gamefly on ps3. I don't really feel like playing it on console. Should I just wait to play it on PC?
The PC version is a much smoother experience when compared to the console versions.
Will there be mod tools or a map editor for the pc version?
Who would pay a reviewer to give a game a bad review?
Yay, my BoSE rolled in!

Now I can finally play! [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Ignore that knife, needed to open the box and forgot it was there.
I feel like the only one who never used the trip mines. I felt that they weren't wholly useful.
What the fuck is going on. Twice I tried to join this guy's game on the Casino level and when I enter, it goes through the loading screen and then it gives me a black screen. I hear the players in the game talking to each other but I get some weird crash reporter. What the fuck?
I feel like the only one who never used the trip mines. I felt that they weren't wholly useful.
Could be when you're tight on Ego and need to backpedal some to avoid fire. Chuck one down for precaution, destroy it if not needed. Better safe than sorry! :eng101:
I feel like the only one who never used the trip mines. I felt that they weren't wholly useful.
I used the holoduke then snuck up behind an enemy and put a trip mine on his back. That was fun.
I feel like the only one who never used the trip mines. I felt that they weren't wholly useful.
I always accidently use tripmines when I dont want to.
Thinking of the easter eggs, I thought up of something else Instead of the Borderlands Psycho being in the underwater level, he should be in the Mighty Foot desert stages (Since Borderlands was in the desert) and instead there should be like a dead Big Daddy or something in the underwater stage
What's wrong with you people. I love this game and my only problem is the damned hive.
Does anyone know how to beat the giant 3-tittied beast? I keep getting it down to the point when I have to mash space, but it always (always) throws me out, no matter how quick I mash space. (I'm on hard difficulty, if that helps.)
because Sift needs to come in and call everyone stoopid if you don't like it
Glad to see you haven't caught up on the thread at all Please, keep making yourself look like a douche. It makes you edgy and cool like you're hero Duke Nukem. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline]
I always accidently use tripmines when I dont want to.
I meant to throw a pipebomb at a pigcop at one point, accidently stuck him with one, didn't quite realize that was a thing.
I feel like the only one who never used the trip mines. I felt that they weren't wholly useful.
They were incredibly useful against the baby octabrains underwater.
I have this program that can open Duke files, I used it on the demo files and for some reason it has all the character and interactive things from the full game, just not the textures. Anyway, I found a character model of a guy in a suit with both his feet in a cinder block, so of course this guy is probably found in the Blow The Dam level. Also, I found General Graves gibs like his arms which I found odd since he doesn't explode or die or anything
