Also in the same thread I found the clock easter egg, I found an image of the corpse with his feet in cement (Previously I mentioned finding the model in the demo files without textures). Now I could be wrong but doesn't it look a bit like Agent 47 minus the gloves?
When I first saw him I kept thinking the same but it looks like a blue tie there and Duke doesn't say anything about it, I'm going to go in the level again and maybe there might be a bar code at the back of his head.
Just did, im pretty sure it's true. Took this picture at 1:58
reminds me of the wrist watch in metro.

Soooo I just wanted to say that just finished DNF and I loved every waking moment and it was extremely fun. People who said it was a let down or that it sucked don't know what they're missing.

Tons of references in this game. Just wish we could carry all the guns
That would kick ass if they did add that
So I'm there right now and the only thing that is at the back of his head is what looks like a bullet hole, he is also held down by cement and the car that is right beside him has nothing related to him. I then shot him in the face with a shotgun and it looks like his mouth is opening and closing and his head is changing sizes (or maybe I'm going insane). I have also tried looking up trying to find something related to possibly someone getting shot while driving and falling off hoover dam but I'm getting nothing with every combination I try. Does anyone know any move or game that has something related to this? Edit: Alright so I can confirm I am not going insane as his mouth is opening, maybe there is something in it?
The multiplayer community has been really nice so far. There aren't any little kids (surprise!) and everyone has been pretty friendly and responsive. Most of them say they really like the game, so I'm thinking that most people who have actually played the game have liked it.
Gearbox didn't make the multiplayer.
From what i read, yes they did.
I dont know if I should get this game, it looks awesome but apparently its got bad ratings. Should i get it?
now ive never played it, but maybe it's stubbs the zombie?
Maybe, but stubbs the zombie has hair and wears a hat, but it's still a good guess. Also hilarious article from Kotaku http://kotaku.com/5812816/maybe-gearbox-shouldnt-have-released-duke-nukem-forever It's hilarious, kotaku is hating on Duke yet again talking about how Duke makes jokes about rape and abortion and thinks they are funny (completely made up as usual). Also comments about how they think Duke is bad because they have morals and it looks like the guy who wrote the kotaku article has never played any other game besides Duke 3D. Edit: Yes you should get it, almost everyone here thought that DNF was going to be horrible because of the reviews, they bought it anyways and now they are having a blast with it and even on the reviewers sites and on the Gearbox forums there are people who are actually surprised they had a blast with it because all the reviewers hated it.
kotaku are dumbshits i think this was established a long time ago on par with ign if i remember right
Here is a picture of the left side of the face from that body where is shows a hole right beside his mouth, just in case it might help anyone know the reference
Okay, i'm kinda mad right now - i can't run the bloody game. Sure, i can launch it, but the framerate is stuttering like HELL. As in even intro movies don't work properly. Am i the only one with this issue? My laptop does fulfill the requirements - so why won't it run? Heck, Bulletstorm run on it perfectly (true, on low-middle, but still). HALP
now ive never played it, but maybe it's stubbs the zombie?
If it were Stubbs his fadora would be around somewhere.
Has to be a reference to a movie or something. Was there any Mobster movies involving a guy getting shot in the mouth and/or given "cement shoes."
From what i read, yes they did.
No, Gearbox did not make the multiplayer. Piranha Games did along with console ports.
Has to be a reference to a movie or something. Found in a bay and in standing position, it fits the description of our guy. Also regarding the Mafia I also came across the Wiki page of Gambino and on the page I found this: "When under the influence of alcohol, Scialo would become very arrogant, loud and disrespectful. One day in October 1974, Scialo was at a popular Italian restaurant, he spotted Carlo Gambino and began to harass him, insulting Gambino in front of others. Gambino stayed calm, as he always was, didn't retaliate and didn't say a word. Scialo's body was found not long after at Otto's Social Club in South Brooklyn encased in the cement floor." So one of these, or maybe a combination of both could be our guy :ms:
http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=124347 You guys should take a look at this thread, sure there is a lot of known stuff but there is some stuff I didn't even know about or seen on any other site

And neither described gunshot wounds to the face. I think this is just a general mafia reference.
One was inside a cement floor, the other was underwater with cement shoes. And neither described gunshot wounds to the face. I think this is just a general mafia reference.
Yes the guy underwater with cement shoes in a standing up position is the exact same way as it is in game, yes the other one is a cement floor and that's why I said it might a combinaton of the 2, because you have one guy underwater in a standing position (exactly as in game) and the other who would of obviously been shot before being put in a cement floor. Even if it is not a combination of the both I would guess it would be the first one as it is the same description as in game and you would guess that he would been shot before being there. Yes it can be a general mafia reference but the first example is the exact way as in game so I guess someone came across that one day and decided to put it in game maybe.

Just finished this game. Most fun I've had in a while. It's moments like this where reviewers need to stop looking at graphics and AI, and use FUN as a factor in reviews.
Just finished this game. Most fun I've had in a while. And then CoD and Halo came along and destroyed everything.
One thing I never understood. In the trailer, they mentioned that Duke disappeared without a trace, and that's why the invaders came back. But in the game, every one knows he's there. He has a hotel, stadium dome, fast food joint and merchandise under his name (and probably under his management).
I don't recall them saying the invaders came back because Duke was gone, they said "A man who disappeared with a trace. When the invaders came back, they came back angry."
