all i can see is windows
I wonder if anyone's got a better recording of it.
That was the stream quality. It's a phone.
I do like the inventory system so far stackable food, bigger inventory

is he going to come back?
I'm so excited.
Flooded village was a cool unintended thing he showed. Also was that giant hole in middle of the first village a ravine?

Wait, the way Notch actually fast-cycles through the day/nightime. Any info if this is only for the show at PAX, or are we getting it too? Maybe we can make the night go faster when we have lot's of experience?

I mean, leveling up and such is a good idea, Minecraft will be really fun with that, maybe they'll add a stamina boost for ever level for Sprinting, but causing the night to go faster? That's what beds are for..

Although if it sped up time in front of us when we are in bed and we got to see the entire night times activities in 5 seconds that would be really awesome. [editline]26th August 2011[/editline] Actually I'd love a fallout style sleeping system, where you can specify a number of hours at any time in the day.
TABLES
That oddly looks like a piston table.
Looks more like a pressure pad on a fence.
Looks more like a pressure pad on a fence.
That's exactly what it is...
Good content, just wish that it was better quality.
Looks pretty awesome, can't wait [editline]26th August 2011[/editline] Maybe I'll actually start playing MC a bunch again
I wish notch showed more of the stronghold/new dungeons. He seemed far more excited by the fact there was one under a tiny island than in showing the dungeon at all.
8:20 "Notch, add ponies" Notch: "No" good
B-but... :(
Hotch...
Jensky and Hotch, coming soon to G4. Two Swedish freelance cops who develop video-games in their spare time, getting caught up in all sorts of crime-fighting.
I don't even want NPC's. Anything keeping 1.8 from coming out is DESTROYING ME :suicide:
do you want unfinished stuff which keeps haning around for ages?
I heard that the villages are gonna be populated by either Humans or Pigmen. I hope that if both kinds of villages exist, the different races have different craftsmen and suchlike, as well as different culture and "dialects" (it'd probably be easier to have it in text format), with the Humans having a sort of Medieval-Norse fusion kinda architecture with a Scandinavian-styled dialect, and the Pigmen having something different, maybe like Mesoamerican architecture and dialect, or a kinda Middle-Eastern culture like in Arabia or the Ottoman Empire, something exotic yet not too "savage". It'd be interesting; maybe the Humans would be experts of mining and smithing, forging strong Weapons and Armour, whilst the Pigmen are masters of the "alchemical arts", bringing mysterious potions and powders with them from "the East". ("Salaam and welcome, son of Man. I have various potions for sale, ones that a traveller like yourself might require...")
I'd like to see how Jeb handles interaction with villagers, hopefully it'll be interesting enough for it to have depth and be worthwhile.
i hope villagers actually look good rather than the semi-neandertal character that steve is
Oh god.
Around 25:25, you can see a glimpse of the start screen and the background is what looks like a screenshot [editline]26th August 2011[/editline] Here's a picture
Did anyone notice the new main menu?
I'd like to see how Jeb handles interaction with villagers, hopefully it'll be interesting enough for it to have depth and be worthwhile.
Same here. It'd be cool to have merchants as well, or even craftsmen that can trade you their secrets if you do something for them. Then again, I dunno whether or not having recipes that can be unlocked is a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand it could be part of the player progression, but on the other hand it'd be kinda limiting.
The bow's the way I imaginated it. I'm watching the youtube uploaded stream, 1.8 is going to be awesome!
Dropped items collide with the world it appears What I mean to say is, that they appear to perform better in that regard
