I am disapoint -.- i was really hoping they wouldn't make another stupid track racing game. I'm sure alot of people want more NFS games like Underground
Question: Where the hell is the drift practice course that you supposedly unlock after doing the Grass Roots thing? Xbox
Anyone got an answer? [editline]13th April 2011[/editline] I haven't seen it in track list in the Quick race menu.
I love the Pagani. It did cost me my retro RX-7 and my Dodge Viper, but I am determined to earn the money back to afford them all geared up again.
The first RX-7 sounds like a hairdryer.
We want more Hot Pursuit, not those ricer bullshit.
To be more specific, Hot Pursuit (1998-2002) [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] Shift & HP for racers, Underground for ricers.
To be completely honest I haven't been keeping up with the hardware department because my hardware is on par with the 8600gt so that is the root of my problems but there shouldn't be any need to upgrade hardware when the console hardware remains unchanged and this is basically a console port of a game, doesn't make any sense It's just poor optimization
I'll tell you what the next NFS game should be. Take shift. Add Underground's customization. Add a world similar to Most Wanted. Now add Police
Hey, how about we all go Stigs and test cars around Nürburgring and post the times here ? I'd begin with with VW Golf MK1 - Stock - 10.21:6 - Works - 08.44:8 For fun :v:.

Room for improvement but 100% Souped up but not Works: Lancer Evo 7:01, and a Works Nissan GTR 6:38. With non-rolling starts Wish the game kept track of your best laps in individual cars. Instead of show your absolute best. I can't beat a GTR in an Evo, ever, stop showing me my GTR time stupid game
I'll tell you what the next NFS game should be. Take shift. Add Underground's customization. Add a world similar to Most Wanted.
You mean Nordschleife full? You can't beat it in 10 minutes in that though.
Yes, and yes I beat it in 10 minutes in that :v:. It might be slow as fuck, but because of It's slowness, It doesn't have problems in corners.

I love the NFS series, and even though this isn't classed as a NFS game, it still rocks! I love the tuning now, you can do it real time on the testing track.
It wasn't a port, all versions of the game were made separately. [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] And remake this:
Only without the explosive barrels being dropped from helicopters
Only without the explosive barrels being dropped from helicopters
What? No, that was awesome.
What? No, that was awesome.
What if you could control the heillcopters? Or alternatively they could drop both spike strips AND explosive barrels, Or maybe both of those.
I'll tell you what the next NFS game should be. Take shift. Add Underground's customization. Add a world similar to Most Wanted. Now add Police
Add Hot Pursuit's unrealistic car list and remove UG's customization.
Racing online with any car is bad, because racing in a Bugatti automatically makes you a target to hit.
Add Hot Pursuit's unrealistic car list and remove UG's customization.
And fuck the most wanted world.
What's with you guys hatin' on UG and MW. I played NFS since the 2nd (or 3rd?) and I think I like most NFS titles except latest Hot Pursuit, that just feels Burnout-ish. It's EA we're talking about, with their budget they can make SHIFT branch, MW style branch and HS style branch and let everyone be happy. I know I would be.
This game freezes my Xbox whenever I swap body kits on cars really fast. When I go to look at the body kits, I swap them to see the differences and then on about the fourth or fifth swap my Xbox freezes.
You're not alone, Happens on my PC version. I notice a lot less crashes when I'm on the test track and not just doing Time Attack or a race, and I think that's because it isn't storing a replay when you're doing testing. Game needs a patch, and knowing EA with its Mainstream games like Need for Speed/Madden and such (Not it's 'Babies' like Sims and Battlefield) We won't see a patch for quite some time, if at all
Everything about Hot Pursuit 2 was perfect. Hot Pursuit 2 was the perfect arcade racing game. i still play it. I cant imagine anything how they could've made HP2 any better. Oh, and i remember those maps... Oh, and its soundtrack is amazing. without HP and HP2 i wouldnt be playing racing games now. How the hell could they give the hot pursuit title to Criterion Games? That is just wrong. [editline]15th April 2011[/editline] I like both simulation and arcade.

God, time to dig some stuff and get my old CD playing again.

I actually kinda like the Helmet cam, especially on really dark night tracks.
The helmet cam took me a couple days to get used to, but now I swear by it. I was suspicious about the whole look towards the apex thing. It's one of those things that you do automatically in real life, but when it's done for you it feels strange. Once I got used to it though its great. Aside from feeling really immersive, it gives you a subtle clue as to the racing line. I play with the racing line off, but the helmet cam provides a very non-intrusive hint towards when you should start braking. Plus, looking towards the corner, especially for really tight ones, just plain helps to keep you straight.
