911 GT2
Ohh, good one. I NEVER could drive the GT2 with my gamepad. I'm literally giddy with excitement to finally get an H pattern, clutch, and a 900 degree wheel.
Online play on the PC is boring now. As soon as the room allows you to use any car, at least half of the people switch to their Bugatti.
Bugattis and Zonda R's should never be added to any game. Too many kids going "hurr my car's fast durrrrrrr"
Bugattis and Zonda R's should never be added to any game. Too many kids going "hurr my car's fast durrrrrrr"
' It was the exact same back in prostreet. EVERYBODY USES THE FUCKING ZONDA. [editline]4th August 2011[/editline] AND THEY USE IT FOR EVERY DISCIPLINE. [editline]4th August 2011[/editline] EVEN DRIFT.
My G27 is only one state away now. I can't wait.
Also, on top of everyone and their French uncle Stan using the Bugatti, they always race dirty. I came from games like GTR2 and rFactor, where dirty racing could get you banned without warning. On this, they just pit you and laugh. This wouldn't be a problem for a street racing game or even maybe an offroad racing game, but it does defeat the purpose of it being a professional racing game if you can knock other players off the track without penalty.

Its pretty sad that you can have more fun with the AI than actual players.
I'm never buying another professional racing Need for Speed ever again. I'm going back to Jedi Academy or rFactor.
Hey you, the Zonda is my favorite car in real life.
Just kill yourself now
Just kill yourself now
No, you silly fagola.
Isn't the cockpit steering animation supposed to rotate all 900 degree with a wheel? I thought this was one of the things they added from Shift 1. It isn't working with my new G27.
For some reason I thought you meant the camera...I got sick just imagining it.
Going to post this in the Unleashed thread Some Nurburgring Action
Wish I had it on video, I was over at my buddy's house playing Shift 2, and disabled another racer. It's one of the early races, where they give you the Lotus Exige. I went wide on the first straight and another racer was outside of me. I pushed him up onto the guardrail and flipped him. My next lap I was totally spaced out on the straight and plowed into him in the middle of the road despite having a good 5 or 6 seconds to see him coming up.
Online play on the PC is boring now. As soon as the room allows you to use any car, at least half of the people switch to their Bugatti.
This is why I stopped playing. The performance index score thing is broken. There are cars that shouldn't be in the class that they are assigned. No matter how good you are at tuning, you can't get your car to get as fast as the broken cars of that class. Tuning cars to get them as fast as possible is my favorite thing in the game, but learning that no matter how good I tune a car, I can never get it on par with the best cars of the class really ruined my interest in the game. Class D I think is fine because everything is so slow anyway. Class C is dominated by the Audi R8 and the Mitsubishi Lancers, both of which are far faster than anything else in Class C. I haven't played Class B enough so I can't comment on that one. Class A is way too unrestricted. At the very least it should be split into A and S, because the difference between a low class A and a high class A is absurd. There is no cap whatsoever, and this completely breaks any semblance of balance. Also, collisions were way too sensitive to be fun. Just tapping another car causes a catastrophic accident, and when driving in helmet cam you just lack the situational awareness that comes with third person. This causes a lot of unfortunate accidents, even when trying really hard to race clean, because you just can't see the cars around you. It really is a shame too, because I really do love the driving in this game.

As well as handling mods that make the physics a little more sim-like. http://www.nogripracing.com/files.php?maincat=10 This wheel is awesome.
I clipped a tire stack at ~140mph

I could never really get into this game, the steering in all cars is just so vague and they all handle like boats regardless
Does anyone know how to get the 900 degree steering animation to work?
