Ah man what, Ebisu track, small and tight version, how the fuck do I race this? Trying to do the Classic Japanese cars, got myself a Nissan, all worked up to keep up with the other cars but the track is just so narrow and short that there's no way to pass..by the time I've just started to accelerate there's a corner and with the car being works it just slides like a bitch. Tried tuning but meh, track is just too small and twatty.
If it's in a series, tune for the track. If not, just skip it, you only race there once AFAIK, it's not worth it.

Get a Nissan Skyline R-32 and start there. AWD is much easier to deal with when you have heaps of power on a narrow track.
So I got this game last week and I've been enjoying it and all though last night I go and start it only to find that all my career progress is lost and I have to start from scratch again :sigh: God I hate those videos with that guy talking...
I have the opposite problem. I want to reset. But I need to wait until I get a wheel to do that.
We need a new Hot Pursuit. (no, the latest one is burnout, fuck off with it, i felt like it was spitting on the amazing Hot Pursuit 2's face) a PROPER hot pursuit, none of that release-throttle-into-drift bullshit, no nitro boost, nothing, just exotic terrain from around the world with amazing landscapes, supercars and cops, fuck tuning and fuck visual accessories.
Yes. Also, they need to pay more attention to the old cars. And Ferraris. And simulation mode just like the old days.
I'm still waiting for my Nürburgring race, MadCat
Beat the Nordschliefe (sp?) record by .232 of a second using a stock Gumpert Apollo. Feel pretty good right now.
Why is it that every fucking time I race, the guy that is always right around me seems to have the exact same car. I was in an IS-F, he was in one. I was in an R8, he was in one.

Much easier. But make sure to tune it back up for the master's series, the rival drives an A class in that.

Makes the game so much more enjoyable IMO. Even with the mod, the MP4-12C handles like a spacecraft. It has NO grip. [editline]7th April 2011[/editline] Does anyone have any idea when we can expect DLC?

I dont miss NFSU, NFSU2, Carbon, most wanted and all those tuning need for speed games. I miss Hot pursuit 1 and 2. And i want another shift game. The new hot pursuit sucks. Its nowhere near similiar to previous hot pursuits.
Does that work with SHIFT 2?
It's only for Shift 2.
The mod in that video is for Shift 1. This is for Shift 2 http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=31799.

And the cars just had supernatural grip. I agree that its an arcade racing game, but the line goes somewhere.
So I've been playing this for a few days now, and I'm so disappointed. I've been following the progress on Speedhunters for this, and they've lied a great deal about it on the Q&A. They said they'd completely rebuilt the handling model. However I'm having great difficulty finding many differences between the original... The main reason I'm so disappointed though it the drifting. I'm a big drift fan, so when they announced on Speedhunters that the drift mode was now a proper drift mode, using the standard racing physics but with the need for tuning and customization to actually make your car a drift car, I got very excited. But it turns out that was a load of bollocks. The drifting is a big improvement over the original (which was almost undriveable), but again, we're back to the same horseshit drift assist style handling. The physics totally change when you go into drift mode. I'm not a very happy bunny considering we were blatantly lied to. I'm seriously considering writing an email to EA or SMS asking why they decided to deploy false advertising into their marketing.
You sure criticize things like James May.
You mean quietly ranting on and on instead of "yes, I like it" or "no, it sucks" like us Clarksons?
but again, we're back to the same horseshit drift assist style handling.
Are you playing with a wheel?
After a lap of Nurburgring, the game acts like I've run out of RAM or something and just slowly fails until my PC reboots... Fucking game
It seems that the AI surely does like to troll me, because whenever I play the MP4-12C on the Nürburgring, there's always some faggot ahead or behind me ready to flip me out :argh:.
Good advice on downgrading the car for those Japan classic races, I just switched into that D spec drift car they give you and I got a 2nd place out of it so, fuck it - that will do! Not sure I can be bothered with the other 2 tracks in the series.
Anyone got any idea why all of a sudden me and my friend can't see/accept invites to join each other's games? Was working fine a week or so ago
