Unfortunatly this statement might be correct if the AI wasn't such a god damn piece of fucking shit. Holy fuck.
Considering skirmish AI hasn't been implemented (yet) for MoW, yeah, it's gonna be pretty shit.
Not that it matters because PvP is the highlight of both games, but MoW beats it in that respect.
Age of Empires 2
Men of War/Hearts of Iron III (After the patches)
I haven't played many RTS but Age of Empire seems awesome. Starcraft seems well known, probably cause of those darn koreans.
I liked Warcraft 3 just for the record
Age Of Mythology, Age of Empires III
EDIT: if i wanted to go online with AoM now, does it require a hotfix for IE8 as well, because i remember if you had ie7, you had to download something for it to work.
Yeah man, it's almost as if those bullets are ripping his flesh apart, the building collapsing on top of him crushing his bones and that HE shell to the face vapourising his his body :downs:.

when did this happen did i miss something
Starcraft ATW
men of war
you god damn CAT.
if you want some FEMALE PUSSY (read VAGINA) then get MEN of WAR
Total Annihilation.
I would recommend trying out the original version in addition to playing TA spring. The original has a special flare that's missing in TA spring, but obviously you won't be able to play the original with other people unless LAN is an option.
Everyone says it's storyline was nothing to get excited about, but I liked it.
Company of Heroes is my favourite modern RTS game, it's absolutely amazing. The main attraction for me is the fact it's not rock, paper, scissors gameplay, it's all about how you use your units, planning tactics and strategy.
I've had one squad of paratroopers manage to take out entire panzer divisions before because I kept dropping them supplies like mortars and machine guns to take out infantry, upgraded them with anti-tank weapons to make short work of tanks and armour and using the environment to my advantage. To my knowledge, you couldn't do that in any other strategy game.
Not really. I love CoH but there are hardly any "tactics" without a realism mod. All it employs are hard and soft counters.
Company Of Heroes
Men of War
Starcraft
Supreme Commander
Act of War
are the best ones, IMO

Yeah, like the M1919 .30 cal on the jeep should have roughly the same amount of firepower as the machine gun used by the American heavy machine gun team, yet no infantry squad can be suppressed by it.
Try out perimiter if you want an RTS that's "different"
I havent tried the second one but the first was good IMO.
World in Conflict
Just download Warzone 2100. It's free, and KICKASS!
Dwarf Fortress or Hearts of Iron II.
The first Red Alert is pretty classy too.
Supreme Commander, I love the epic scale.
Starcraft 2 is boss if you want to play online vs other players.
Red Alert 2 is awesome just to mess around on though xD
EDIT: Sorry didn't mean to bump 2 year old thread. Trying to figure out how to delete my post.
How do you even bump such a thread? Did you fucking go all the way to page 99 or something, or did you search for random shit?
