Not that it matters because PvP is the highlight of both games, but MoW beats it in that respect.

Age of Empires 2

Men of War/Hearts of Iron III (After the patches)

I haven't played many RTS but Age of Empire seems awesome. Starcraft seems well known, probably cause of those darn koreans. I liked Warcraft 3 just for the record :blush:

Age Of Mythology, Age of Empires III EDIT: if i wanted to go online with AoM now, does it require a hotfix for IE8 as well, because i remember if you had ie7, you had to download something for it to work.

Total Annihilation. I would recommend trying out the original version in addition to playing TA spring. The original has a special flare that's missing in TA spring, but obviously you won't be able to play the original with other people unless LAN is an option. Everyone says it's storyline was nothing to get excited about, but I liked it.

Company Of Heroes Men of War Starcraft Supreme Commander Act of War are the best ones, IMO

Try out perimiter if you want an RTS that's "different" I havent tried the second one but the first was good IMO.

Just download Warzone 2100. It's free, and KICKASS!

Dwarf Fortress or Hearts of Iron II. The first Red Alert is pretty classy too.

Supreme Commander, I love the epic scale.
