Problem with that, is the hotkeys are removed when the dogs die, you need to reassign them each time. Which sucks in the middle of a fight when you haven't got time.

That sounds really useless. Slow, a pull, and snare that unlocks on damage. The third ability is almost useless. You can get max of 20 str from it IF all enemies are melee and attack you. If that happens, you are mostly fucked up anyway.

I think you miss the point. He's not a ganker, he's a team player. The ulti is designed in such a way that you're able to single out specific heroes in a team fight.
Imagine pulling them all near to you onto a preplaced trap, inflicting them all with your debuff, and then activating ulti. Then you could kill them off in an order.
Problem is, he could be useless in pub games but too good for torney so he'd be instantly banned.

No. Keeper damages everyone for a shorter time, and has no slows.
I wanted to avoid giving him "real damage" because there are plenty of heroes that require no skill and have kill buttons (hello deadwood)

He's so fucking awesome with his hi-damage heal and his very useful, low mana and low cooldown ulti.
Every game I play with him, I win.

Uhh, actually, you need to master motion prediction really well to actually hit with the first spell (which you need for actually good ulti). If wanted to look for no skill kill buttons, I think that Swiftblade is kinda this kind of hero.
I think it just isn't worth it. If everything went really perfectly, you get 8s snare on all enemies which keeps them from not beating the crap out of you maybe, but just the fact that you release enemies on attack makes it extremely hard to pull of properly. As already stated, it would be a completely useless hero for pubs, and firstly banned hero in matches.
Beta beta patch should be out in a little less than 6 hours. You can check out all the changes [url=http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/forumdisplay.php?f=33]here[/url] but can't discuss them outside of that forum (password: scoutisimba)
I like all the changes.
