HoN is much moar like DOTA in its complexity.
For example, in HoN, you never find competent players auto attacking, the game has the h key built around player control, encouraging last hits and denys, while in LoL, there are no denys, and pretty much everyone auto attacks.
In LoL, there are no stat attribute gains. In HoN, you can choose stats over skills in some cases where a carry has scaling skills more useful in the later game. A good example is swiftblade/juggernaut (moar soo swiftblade with his counterattack). Swift blade has 2 scaling skills and 2 non scaling skills (one being his ultimate). The most effective build with him is to get only blade fenzy and stats the first 5 levels. His other two skills, one a critical strike, the other, counterattack scale so that they are much better late game.
In LoL, the farming metagame is built around buffing players rather than serving an actual role. Tons of Champions I see has skills that is a nuke and gives extra gold per kill. Gold is also used to buy items that, in the most interesting case, gives an orb effect. I don't think ive seen any items with active effects in LoL.
In HoN, Items are bought mostly for their function rather than for their stats. (this is moar true in HoN than in DotA because orbs stack). Items such as sheepstick gives and extra disable to the team, allowing them to take the enemy carry out of play for just long enough to win big teamfights. In LoL, items are seperated into generic groups such as attack defense and lifesteal.
Perhaps the most solid reason why HoN is moar complex than LoL is the playerbase. When I first played LoL, the game was different but I simply picked the champion that seemed like a basic agi hardcarry (one with an escape mech, scaling skills or evasion). In my first game, I easily got tons of kills with only a few deaths. Newcomers to HoN from LoL do not find HoN as easy. They are berated for their poor playing habits picked up from a game that does not encourage good laning or farming, or even ganking (I have yet to hear a single missing in my few games of LoL). Without knowing how to farm, how to lane, or even what items to buy, LoL players often have to learn the game from the basics.

Goto your Heroes of Newerth main folder. (Usually at C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth) Then there should be a text file called log.txt, rename the file to tos.txt. After that in the folder there should be an EXE named honupdater or something similar, run that and update game like normal. Crash should be fixed.

Also, the chipper is awesome if you know how to use the rockets.. If someone escapes with 200 hp, kapow rockets everywhere, and they qq.
Also, i can now confirm that the best combo right now is: Devo and Jera.
Guide how to own:
Devo pick: 2-1-2-1-2-4 etc.
Jera pick: 1-2-1-2-1-4 etc.
Now. Select your victim devo, grab the target, in the meantime (or before) jera has magic immunity and you then turn on the gas. 20% slow + 25 - 100 damage per second to them, nothing to yourself. And they can't stop you. OWN at low lvl and you're OP end game.

Finally things going up for me. I've been doing so bad the past couple of days ( or atleast my group has) I went from 1660 to 1580. But now im on 1680 psr, and 640 games played :D

cant find this log.txt in the main folder and my honupdate just launches the game
