I am playing it with LB Photorealism x256 with no prob. But my computer is from the future.

Shame that Mediafire is down for me. ;_;
No, I knew there was a Dokucraft continuation, I was looking for DokuRPG.
I've tried to keep mine updated because I liked the darker look of DokuRPG, so here ya go. http://www.mediafire.com/file/qk5kcan6oicqcvc/Gerudoku_008.zip I know it says Gerudoku in the filename but it's closer to the old-style Doku.

It looks awesome but it kinda destroys a bit of the charm of Minecraft for me.
It looks awesome but it kinda destroys a bit of the charm of Minecraft for me.
That's what was said of pistons. I guarantee you, even if this is added, there will be whining on the Minecraft forums for a day or two, then it will be accepted as part of minecraft. Same whining happened when sprinting was announced, now nobody cares. Same with every goddamn feature that has ever been added.
this shader is far to crashy at the moment
It looks awesome but it kinda destroys a bit of the charm of Minecraft for me.
If it was implemented, it would be optional.
and it doesn't work with bettergrass?
and it doesn't work with bettergrass?
I've got a build running that has: Better grass CTM Zombe mod (for screenshots mostly) and the Water Shader So far no issues besides the occasional glass textures where grass belongs with CTM, but thats easily fixed with a torch.
Just installed this yesterday, it looks sweet. But it isn't really stable, still really buggy and crashes a lot.
Just installed this yesterday, it looks sweet. But it isn't really stable, still really buggy and crashes a lot.
Then, if Notch or Jeb adds it, they will fix it! Wait, why were 1.7_01, 1.7.2 and 1.7.3 made again?
Does it work with the scuba/coral reef mods? EDIT: IT DOES.
It looks awesome but it kinda destroys a bit of the charm of Minecraft for me.
That's what people said about smooth lighting but I don't see anyone complaining now.
That's what people said about smooth lighting but I don't see anyone complaining now.
thats because we dont complain about it. the option is there to turn it off and thus we have no reason to complain. I hate smooth lighting personally. Makes everything too dark and moody.
I'd really love to use this but it conflicts with Optifine, and I've grown accustomed to it.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/k1u8h/water_shader_optifine_patch/ It's a patch for OptiFine and Water Shader, works great.
thats because we dont complain about it. the option is there to turn it off and thus we have no reason to complain. I hate smooth lighting personally. Ugh, I can't even play without smooth lightning.
Anyone want to test out what mods work with this?
Cubic chunks does not work with water shader. Anybody know of a patch, because I chose like 6 non-intrusive simple mods, and found that the major 2 conflict.
Made my FPS drop quite alot, and I'm on an i5 750 and a 5850.
Well sure, it's rendering and lighting everything twice.
I am playing it with LB Photorealism x256 with no prob. But my computer is from the future.
Mine is from 2007 but I run 256 LB photorealism + water shader and still get over 60+ fps.
Mine is from 2007 but I run 256 LB photorealism + water shader and still get over 60+ fps.
The problem isn't the fps. I get good fps (100~120) yet the game feels choppy as fuck. Like it has freeze spikes.
Version 4 is released. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/542215-173-water-shader-alpha-v4/ It's got a config file that looks like this:
//Water rendering mode (0: off 1: diffraction only 2:reflection and diffraction) water_mode 2 //PERFORMANCE SETTINGS //Resolution of reflection rendering (1 full resolution) reflection_resolution 2 //Reflective items, player, mob (on/off) reflective_items 1 //Reflective clouds (on/off) reflective_clouds 0 //Reflect player (on/off) reflect_player 1 //RENDER SETTINGS // R/G/B (float) 0.0/0.5/0.35 water_color 0.0/0.5/0.35 //between 0.0 and 1.0 water_surface_transparency 0.1 //between 0.0 and 1.0 waterfall_transparency 0.25 //transparent block ids to be excluded from water effect (not implemented) exclude_list
I wanna teabag that new water real slow like.
Still doesn't work with OptiFine and I want to use it so bad.
Now we just need reflective glass, iron, gold and diamond blocks.

Lava needs heat distortions above it. Maybe fire, too.
