He is right tho, Steam's messages and official intel is shit, further pointless is disabling the whole account.
I gotta agree with this. Steam Support is definitely Valve's weakest sector.
I've only had to use Steam Support once (for troubles with a third-party DRM system), and my experience of it was overall positive. Took about a day to get a reply to my ticket, but at that point they were really helpful. You can do a hell of a lot worse than Steam Support.
I'd be pissed too. Steam suspends his accounts with games he paid for and then he has to wait on them to un-suspend his account? ololol
The reason they have pissed me off so much is there was no email, they've given no reason and they've not responded to my email
Because any sensible person would contact Steam straight away rather than wait for an 'official' email to be sent.
One, that would make phishing a breeze and two, they don't have a reason to anyway.

I have a load of previous experience iwth them, and VALVe in all it's honor, their support sucks.
Steam's support has been 'adequate', it doesn't suck outright.
>:(
This isn't an uncommon thing, also they wont email you over your account being suspended.
Steam support is also slow as hell but I think that's mainly down to them having staff who work part time and in the US only, it can take a day before they respond to you if you're in the EU.
And most of the time their responses are generic, so it means it could take a while before you get your account unsuspended.
However to help yourself out, make sure you have proof of the purchases, proof you are the account owners and in the rare case some form of identification they can use.
If you can't prove the first two then you're fucked.
Also crying over it wont help, it's stated in the TOC that Valve have 100% power over your account and they can do whatever the fuck they want with it, if they see something as suspicious activity they are legally allowed to lock you the fuck out, your account doesn't belong to you, it belongs to Valve and you are renting it.
Why didn't valve just contacted him via email informing him about the reason of the suspension?

Because they don't.
Send an e-mail to Gabe Newell, wait for him to post response with a good humor.
How is it possible to have £5,500 in games? I don't have anywhere near that many, and I doubt that the majority of Steam users do, either.

Yes, he means suspension.
This happened to me when I bought Bad Company 2. Payment backfired, so they disabled it. I had to end up re-purchasing it with a different method of payment.
Probably said before, but your best luck is to try to contact Steam Support. I know by experience that trying to post a thread on SPUF only brings trouble to the neighborhood .

fuck a steam account, 5 thousand quid is such a decent chunk of change..
it's because you bought Dead Island
Valve wants to help you not make any more bad decisions in the future
I'm honestly surprised that my account has not been suspended yet, multiple transaction failures from paypal and trying to buy while not having enough money (my bank doesn't update my debit card's salary until 3-5 days after a transaction).
I've also had my friends buy games on my account after paying them because I didn't have a debit card at the time.
But yeah, tough luck, all ya can do is contact steam support and hope for the best.
