Would be better without the silly love stuff, it didn't fit in and felt very rushed, especially the way they hugged the very moment the Strider started falling.

Definitely very rushed (what about her family? she mentions it once and it's never brought up again even though they're going in that direction). The acting was only as good as the writing allowed it to be, same goes for the whole story actually. The effects were nice. I actually didn't find the part with the headcrab to be all that contrived, compared to the romance.

The 3rd Escape, we don't speculate resolving that lost romance? [sp]Since that guy was killed, IDK it would of seemed more dramatic if that would of happened in 3 instead of developing the story and immediately killing him off.[/sp] At least this was something else while waiting for HL to resolve. For some reason, while it graphically was improved, IDK I feel the 1st Escape had something that I could not find in this one.
Disregarding the story from Escape, it sounds like you could even get physical, but is it the Combine shield had something so you could either not get it up, or nothing would fertilize? Which is it? I don't feel like Valve exactly explained. Also, would we rather have romance in Escape of first person romance in the next HL? This is not even a joke, but I still can not get over when Eli mentions to Alyx and Gordon about doing their part. Keeps you guessing.

I don't like how the camera is almost always shaking, except when directly focused on the actors with no special effects involved. I assume this is because of the poor quality CGI, but jesus christ it gave me a headache.
I think it was supposed to be ~~[I]immersive[/I]~~, but it doesn't really work when they're replicating crane-shots and stuff.

Those of you wondering about the lovey shit, I believe the suppression field field fell when the citadel did. I seem to recall Kliener straight up telling people to start fucking in episode 1 or 2.
As for the movie itself, cant say much more then people have already said. It somehow felt rushed, which i dont understand considering its been something like 4 years since the last one. Acting felt off too.

The supression field doesn't even kill lust/the ability to have sex, it just targets and kills "certain protein chains important to the process of embryonic development". AKA sex but no babies.

Somehow I remember Gman not having such low length legs, and I also remember the Chopper's logo being yellow not red. I anticipate more action the third one, maybe a truck chase.
This is pretty decent. But it almost seems like a rolling concept for a great half-life movie plot. Of course it needs work though.
