I'm using Quantuam VTX's autoexec, and everything looks great, but when I'm running there's a slight stutter. Can anyone help?
I used this config and it made everything really dark, just the game, the HUD is still fine. Aha, removing mat_queue_mode 0 fixed the darkness and removing mat_motion_blur_forward_enabled 1 fixed the jutteryness. Wait, I just went on 2fort again and it's still dark. Here's a screenshot: [IMG*]http://i43.tinypic.com/25pl3md.jpg[/IMG] Why is this only happening on 2fort?
I had the exact same bug in 2fort, the screen was changing colors as I moved. Then it eventually crashed when I joined a different server with a different map (the colors were ok by now). I had to hard reset my computer :/

Game works nicely until it freezes like yours.
Really rarely, but annoying? On an ATI card?
No, it's constant, it's a slight stutter and it is really annoying. And yes, I'm on a 4870x2 ATi card.
Somehow my viewmodels are flickering when I'm moving etc (I'm using these settings). When I took the multithreading options off, it stopped. :d
Hm, not the same as mine then. Are you on multicore mode?
Yes I am, I set it in the settings, disabling it doesn't stop the stutter either.
r_lod -1
I'm trying to buy a new computer ¿What hardware i need fo running TF2 in the most Highest Graphics possible?
15k FPS
Yeah right.
Yeah right.
I get about 230 on absolute max. I'm in love. I used to get about 40 on absolute minimum.
Can we get a pic of heavy's face with hwm and another without. So we can compare?
r_lod -1
That just made the stuttering waaayyy worse.
That just made the stuttering waaayyy worse.
It would, as models you can't even see are now rendering at full detail :v:
Some commands are unstable deleting those might help. Never had any problems with it.
mat_picmip -3 is fine for me. Textures look nice, and I don't notice any added clarity in anything past it. Edit: dsp_enhance_stereo "1" makes the sound nice.
r_lod -1 makes stuff render worse at a distance, r_lod 0 is for rendering at full detail.
hm, I had it the wrong way round then...normally in source -1 disables the feature, so level of detail would be switched off entirely.
How do I install an autoexec? I can't view the first page of this thread, which had an answer on it.
How do I install an autoexec?
r_lod -1 makes stuff render worse at a distance, r_lod 0 is for rendering at full detail.
No it doesn't
There.
Thanks
Screenshots please?
Screenshots please?
Read the thread. There's plenty.
5 or so is plenty?
5 or so is plenty?
Yes. If it's not go take some of your own. You only really need 1 or 2.
So wait I want to enable the ragdoll collide and particle effects and burning gibs and all that good stuff. Do I need to put in any sort of code into my autoexec, or just put in the commands?
So wait I want to enable the ragdoll collide and particle effects and burning gibs and all that good stuff. Do I need to put in any sort of code into my autoexec, or just put in the commands?
Just put the commands in.
By the way, do any of these commands work for Left 4 Dead? I tried putting them in an autoexec for l4d yet it said 'unknown commands' in console. User error, or impossibility?
