Who else wants to be able to pick up enemy weapons in MGS Rising? I really hated the way that we could never pick up or use enemy weapons in MG games. Or hell, even a middle ground like taking an enemy as a human shield and forcing their fingers on to the trigger to fit within the idea of the "individualized weapons". It always was annoying when you got restricted to weapons you found later in the game rather then procuring them for dispatched enemies. Would create some interesting situations if it was done correctly. I never really understood why we couldn't use enemy weapons.
Yeah, it should be called "Meet Glitchers Online" not "Metal Gear Online" But MGO is still very fun when playing with some friends.
I'm tempted to get the packs, but I keep hearing people say it's not worth it. It was fun playing special things, like Prison (one team's the guards, the other team's the prisoners with no weapons in a cell-like area - prisoners must escape back to their spawn to win), Zombies (one of the teams are knife-only Zombies who tries to outwit and kill the other), and so forth. :saddowns:
*loads of PS1s* :smug:
How much you willing to sell one for? I will go anywhere below $60.
How much you willing to sell one for? I will go anywhere below $60.
They're worth like 150 now, Once something is older than a decade the price only goes up. Hence the PS2 is slightly appreciating in price.

Also if you forced his hand onto the trigger of his own weapon he could easily resist you and try to shoot you in the process.

You start with only a pistol and gradually get more powerful weapons as the game goes on. If you could pick up weapons you'd have assault rifles and shotguns right from the start which would break the difficulty.
So far replayed and Finished Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2. Starting 3 now. Anybody else notice that Vamp is in the Background during MGS2's final scene between Snake and Raiden? [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] It's cool that 10 years after buying the game it still stands up great compared to others, and I'm still finding easter eggs. The whole second game is an easter egg fest.
Oh god how could this thread fall so deep?
I didn't realize that MGS Peace Walker had a torture scene until now. It still hurts :frown: Oh, and do people still play Metal Gear Portable Ops online? I'm going to pick up MGS:PO and might pick up Plus too.

Ah.. I dont know why everyone hated the torture scene, it wasnt that bad.
Ohey, I was just casually browsing the MGS2 comic when all of a sudden HAVE YOU BEEN SLEEPING WELL LATELY? NOT ANYMORE. Also this is a mega bump but it truly deserves it.
Hideo Kojima sure likes his naked torture scenes :P
Bamped quite well. I needed some mgs nostalgia.
ID tagging for the most part.
Still no excuse for not being able to do it in Snake Eater.
Ocelot is my favourite character. He was not actually possessed by Liquid, he just got his mannerisms and shit. He acted like Liquid so the Patriots didn't know he was off to ruin them, as he is a Patriot agent. [editline]10th September 2011[/editline] Also, Hideo has something for men. MGS3, doesn't Volgin or Raikov touch balls to see if it's an officer?
Also, Hideo has something for men. MGS3, doesn't Volgin or Raikov touch balls to see if it's an officer?
Nah, Hideo has the mind of a 12 year old when it comes to dick jokes. If someone isn't getting their genitals groped in a Metal Gear Solid game, it isn't a Metal Gear Solid game.

When you fight Volgin and disguise as Raikov he drops to his knees and starts crying, as gay as it is, it's almost sad.
I've already finished Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4 but none of the other games. Should I buy 3 first or 2 first?
I've already finished Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4 but none of the other games. Should I buy 3 first or 2 first?
I'd say in order, but since you've played 4 (and beaten it) you pretty much know the story of mgs2, so just go to mgs3 and find out what started it all.
MGS3 is the best MGS imo. I don't get why they didn't release it on PC.
MGS3 is the best MGS imo. I don't get why they didn't release it on PC.
Because Sony. [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] Lets just say, Kojima made a very greedy mistake often made by developers looking for extra cash because they don't get enough sales being multiplatform. Exclusivity deals with console holders. [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] It's ironic how the Metal Gear series had gone from PC exclusive (Metal Gear, 1987) to being exclusive to a console that has hardware radically different from how modern PCs function (Metal Gear Solid 4, 2008)
this game is awful
this game is awful
lol
My brother has had his copy for years, and it still is really good shape. The wiki also said something how he wasnt really an antagonist to snake.
Ghost Page Be Gone! D: I'd personally thought Peace Walkers controls where pretty crap. I know it was on a psp but it just felt so uncomfy. Cant wait to play it on a pad when the HD collection comes out. Will be interesting to see how they do it for the xbox verson. Along with MGS2 And 3.
