Borderlands Megathread - V1 - Games

On playthrough 2 now. ive also started a new charachter as mordecai.

Hopefully Borderlands 2 will fix all/most the problems.

This game was really fun for the first playthrough, and it was kinda fun fucking around during your second, but by the third playthrough it's horribly boring, even with your friends. The game devs didn't really deliver on what they promised. They said it would have a trillion or so guns, and it may have that many guns, but the vast majority of them are identical stat-wise and appearance-wise, and are different in name only. Those, good sir, do not qualify as unique guns in my book. Hell, there's only one or two guns in each area actually worth having, the vast majority of all the other weapons are shit. Also, the game's story promised treasure hunting, but there wasn't a single quest where you actually got any treasure. You got money as rewards, sure, and you were on a quest for treasure, but there is no treasure to be had. Also a ton of it is ripped off from other sources, so I guess the writers were having a super tough time writing a story about treasure hunting in a desert. How fucking easy can their jobs be? And they still fucked it up?

GET YOU ONE I'm still playing, getting myself to as high a level as I can to try and solo Crawmerax, it will be epic.

I found a bandit who used a patrol SMG that shoots bullets in a spiral and leaves a trail. Like typhoon.

I love this game. :iia: Also, google Borderworlds. Is it going to be MMO Borderlands, or just a much bigger Borderlands? I hope for the last mentioned. OP got some wrongs, though. Other than the spelling errors, you are guided by someone [I]called[/I] the [I]guardian[/I] angel.

I got this on steam during the summer sale. A little repetitive and can get annoying in places but I thought it was pretty cool.

I just installed the game and killed a level 10 Pshycho. And I'm a level 4 Berserker. I'm proud of myself.

Borderlands is a great game, especially with friends. Of course it does get bland after a while, but Borderlands has lasted me longer than most other games I have purchased in the past. Borderlands lasted me a month, most other games lasted me at most a few days.

I stole a Hellfire SMG from a guy online. 256 damage, 98.7 accuracy and 6.5 firerate. RAPERAPERAPE.

It is a full auto pistol that shoots 27 rounds a click and never runs out of it. It rips anything apart. Even the final boss. [editline]11:40AM[/editline] I'm talking OHK on the final boss.

Anyone bored of BLs and looking to revisit it purely for shits and giggles should try item creation. You can make some seriously OP stuff. Use [url=http://blmodding.wikidot.com/gear-calculator]this[/url] to make guns and then you can import them directly into an existing save with [url=http://sourceforge.net/projects/willowtree/]WillowTree[/url]. Obviously this destroys the entire concept of gear collection in Borderlands, but like I said, it's just for fun.

If only there was proper MP protection, A SDK, moar content , and a great ending.It get boring to quickly

The game would have been much better if they released an SDK, more maps, missions, models and creativity across the board. Haven't finished a playthrough yet, so I'm still finding it fun to pop in every once in awhile. Can't really complain much about the guns, there's a shitload of them, but that's just because they're all made from template parts [barrel,magazine,sight,action,stock,special], and for every awesome gun that lasts you awhile, there's thirty guns that just net you some pocket cash toward your next gun.

Not counting Proficiency. :smug: 54 Bullets with current loadout. 90+ with an overload soldier. It costs very little to fire this weapon for 12 seconds due to large amounts of phoenix and ammo regen. I also have a pestilent thumper that has a value exceeding that is above the maximum displayed.

Sorry to urm, bump but I'm just wondering if anyone knows when the new DLC is going to be hitting Steam? It's already up on XBL, not sure about PSN though.
