Now all the servers I see are >400 ping [editline]9th November 2013[/editline] nvm bad spotty internet on my end
I hope they implement workshop some time soon. Also more characters to choose from. Maybe even a character customization feature like some roleplaying servers on Gmod [IMG]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/rainbow.png[/IMG]
The last update fixed most of my rants about the mod (mostly about the melee and the player collision). Now, the only thing that I expect is a pause between the waves on survival maps. Is kinda frustrating that you spawn and then suddenly three runners appears at the spawnzone, killing/infecting you. And a fix when all the players escapes but one is left alive on the map, which it makes automatically fail the map.
Grenades are probably less useful than hammer as weapon.

Pubbies are so bad at survival mode, jeez. The health crate was used up by the end of the first wave, we died at the start of the second wave to runners, both spawned and our own.

This latest update fixed most of the problems I had with this game. However, it's still odd that Sprinters make virtually no noise while running. You'd think that you'd at least hear their footsteps if they were sprinting around. Also, the Stamina system is good, but it desperately needs a visual cue to show how much stamina you have, whether that be a blurry screen or something similar. Other than that, I think it's really fun.

Other than that, I think it's really fun.[/QUOTE] Supposedly, with the last update, it was added a breath sound that plays everytime you are tired, although is barely audible with the rest of sounds. About the new players being bad, is because no one of them reads the official guide at the HUB, and since there's not tutorial or hints in game, it makes your first time frustrating.
What do you guys and gals prefer? Guns or Melee Weapons? I mostly prefer Melee, because you just can't beat sledgehammer. Flashlight + Kitchen Knife also make a good combo for low stamina usage. But if I am forced to use a gun, Colt is damn good. 1 headshot and poof goes the brain!
Sorry, but the fire axe is the best melee weapon.
I'm really loving the pipe after the recent update. It's only downside now is that it still takes up a surprising amount of room.
Fire Axe is my favourite weapon. Used to be Sledgehammer, but I got more time in with the Fire Axe and it changed my opinion. As for guns, I use them very sparingly. It depends on my current weapon, what gun, and how much ammo I have for it. Also depends if anyone else is using a gun, you only really need one gun at a time in most cases.

Axe is almost as good at killing and isn't so expensive on your stamina. So far my favourite things to bash zombies' skulls in are axe and machete. The soft push is great but could your reduce the push force a little bit so I won't end up being pushed into giant beam of fire again? Just slightly so the player isn't smacked around. And also, when being grabbed by zombie, could it be made that way that the bash, if aimed at the grabbing zombie, will actually hit him? I am kinda desperate how I am trying to shove him away from me and I am only hitting his collegues that are phasing through him.
Does someone has the old models and materials for the survivors? I want to revive the pimp guy again

Interesting.. the mod has been around for like 3-4 years :p. Interesting to see it on front page of steam for a week. I still hate those zombie kids that run at you.
I tried it. No servers, few guys running local servers with everybody else having several hundred ping. So yeah, just like any source mod.

I just noticed when playing the game, range of zombie fists is larger than mine with an axe... What in the actual fuck?

More likely than not they'll grab you while trying to get the hit, though, and timing's pretty hard to get down. 'course, i've never played another game since I was only able to ever join that one server. v:v:v

After your release that ladder in Chinatown, you climb onto that ledgy thing or whatever (which zombies now can climb on by the way). And I saw that runner sprinting up to me and stopping right under me. I ducked and began swinging like madman at him, desperately trying to hit me. And he just flailed his arms a bit around like I would do when I'd want to shoo away a annoying fly AND HE FUCKING KILLED ME. And abbility to pre-charge isn't excuse for them being able to punch you while staying on the other side of the road.

You can take down an entire horde of zeds if you do that.

Shoving away, pre-charging, slapping them with sausage in face or whatever you put into game is NOT an excuse for them having range of Mr. Elastic from Fantastic 4. Even less when your character faint after almost every slight move you do.
