Ahem. Metal Gear Solid 3 is the BEST GAME ON THE PS2, With the most amazing graphics i've seen on a PS2 game in a long time, an amazing plot(With a slight pinch of silliness), A KICKIN' soundtrack, Cinematic-as-all-hell cutscenes(Albeit bloody long ones) Incredifun gameplay, Ball-bustingly great replayability, Massive areas, And an average playtime of 20+ hours, This is the definitive PS2 game, If not the best cinematic game ever made, If you say this game is bad then you deserve nothing but a slow, Incredibly painful death. I have bought two copies of this because i WORE THE ORIGINAL OUT. I loved it THAT MUCH. Buy it.
MGS3, 20+ hours? I think the first time should take 7-10 hours, and after that even faster. If cutscenes are skipped, I can manage roughly 4 hours now. I think your time's a massive stretch for the Normal difficulty level.
The fun I had with this series. Say what you like about Gladiator, I still loved it.
Deadlocked/gladiator was fucking awesome. Also coop.
I have a great respect for anyone that is a fan of both gta and mgs series

Sly 2, jak 1 and 2, and spidey 2 were already posted so... hey hey guys
Nice list. Just missing some games there to be exactly like my list. Goddamn the PS2 has some memorable titles.
I had my first awesome multiplayer community experience from nfs: underground 2. It was a circuit race that everyone would play and you could glitch out of the map which meant unlimited driving anywhere without any cars. You could glitch out the tuning in you engine/transmision to give you like 750 horsepower in a little miata, that really pissed some people off on the multiplayer. Please tell me someone else used to do this in the ps2 online too.

Completed MGS2 in 2 hours 35 mins 20 sec with 5 kills 5 saves 2 deaths(max of 5) and 5 alerts.
Baldurs gate: dark alliance
My god, I must of spent hours just running in to traffic in this.
fyi MOH: Rising Sun is absoloute shit. Frontline beats it into the dust.
I remember playing the demo around 300 times before I finally had the money to buy it.

Bames Nond Jightfire [editline]19th September 2011[/editline] Clatchet and rank
That is a pretty good list, I love all those games (except Manhunt, which was banned here). There's just one thing missing:
So much time spent playing both of those games.
Yesss Mercenaries all the way. It's like Grand Theft Auto, but with nicer graphics, more features, and about 80 times more explosions. [editline]19th September 2011[/editline] Just look at the trailer You should definitely pick it up if you're into action games.
fyi MOH: Rising Sun is absoloute shit. Frontline beats it into the dust.
Glad someone has sense. Frontline was by far the best MOH game I've played.
How come none of you fuckers have mentioned The Urbz? [editline]19th September 2011[/editline] Oh and of course my entire childhood - this game was AMAZING. I need to get the PC version.

If you can complete MGS2 that fast, I don't see what the problem with MGS3 would be.
Me and my brother would stop fighting and killing each other for like 2 hours a day to cooperate and play this game series: Xbox i know, but we had it for ps2.
This thread is helpful for me. In recent years, I've wanted a PS2, but didn't really have the money to get one. Now I have a job and will get one soon.
You're late to a dying party.

In the Xbox version you could have custom soundtracks too. :D
Worse voice acting on the planet, but my god I sunk more hours into this than Oblivion.
hey hey guys
I remember playing this, Good choice sir. Now i want to play it again.
Y'know, I've actually been thinking of trying out that series recently.
Do it. You should start with Persona 3, though. Although it's not required to play it to actually get what's happening or anything of that sort, I recommend that as well. It's definitely not a bad game. and this.
