MGS3, 20+ hours? I think the first time should take 7-10 hours, and after that even faster. If cutscenes are skipped, I can manage roughly 4 hours now. I think your time's a massive stretch for the Normal difficulty level.

Goddamn the PS2 has some memorable titles.
I had my first awesome multiplayer community experience from nfs: underground 2.
It was a circuit race that everyone would play and you could glitch out of the map which meant unlimited driving anywhere without any cars. You could glitch out the tuning in you engine/transmision to give you like 750 horsepower in a little miata, that really pissed some people off on the multiplayer.
Please tell me someone else used to do this in the ps2 online too.

I play Very Easy and my fastest playthrough is 9 hours.
Completed MGS2 in 2 hours 35 mins 20 sec with 5 kills 5 saves 2 deaths(max of 5) and 5 alerts.

Did you skip the cutscenes? If you can complete MGS2 that fast, I don't see what the problem with MGS3 would be.
Me and my brother would stop fighting and killing each other for like 2 hours a day to cooperate and play this game series:

I love that game, I played it with my friend on his birthday and I (somehow) managed to shoot down the barrel of a tank and it exploded.
In the Xbox version you could have custom soundtracks too. :D

You should start with Persona 3, though. Although it's not required to play it to actually get what's happening or anything of that sort, I recommend that as well. It's definitely not a bad game.
