Most likely
Have I rightly noticed that there are new-new enemies? Like new to the HD version specifically of SE because I saw two I'd never seen in the old version just in the trailer.

I'm gonna say most likely he is one of the people who know that elitism over something as stupid as playing a game before the remake came out is idiotic.
oh man the skinless lizard dudes have different sound effects. they sounded so cute in the original. ;_;

I always felt bad when I killed them, I like the change.
I just completed the game. Never had such an epic game.
Also, I never believed that I could get on top of the scorelist.

Well, I guess I will stay there for a few minutes until someone goes past me.
Just bought this from XBOX Live Arcade :iia:. I love the headless kamikazes.
Why is this buried? This game is awesome!
I bought it yesterday, it's amazing.
This game is so much fun!
Yeah, extremely difficult though :ohdear:
Sameless bump for a good game.
I actually just bought them in the Midweek Deal on Steam. I played the demo and loved it.
Putting this here, because Serious Sam is awesome. Or because I'm late.

Oh god why is this game not more popular
It's the best shooter I've played in a while

Exactly what I'm wondering. I can't wait for Serious Sam 3.

To tell the truth, I can. It looks like a different style, for the worse. But I will make decisions AFTER I play it.
I've been a huge fan of the SS series since I was a kid. This was a no question pre-order for me.

All I care is that they keep the core gameplay intact, and it looks like that's what they've done. They way I see it, it looks like the exact opposite of Duke Nukem: Forever. That is, instead of an old school-looking game with modern gameplay, it's a modern-looking game with old school gameplay.
But yeah, I do wish it was a bit sillier.

What's this? Sprinting? Health and armor pickups being medpacks and body armor rather than large, hovering powerups? Distinct lack of color in the environment? Suddenly I am more skeptical...
Headless Kamikazes takes 2 shots to kill now, that means easier to dodge from them. It used to be really hard to stun a headless with the revolver to get enough time to backstep and finish it off safely. And sprinting kind of takes away most of headless's threat. I just hope the devs still fuck with you with hidden enemies and traps and swarms. In the videos the enemy groups were just 7 or 8 at a time. I want 50+ enemies at a time like the kleer bridge

You could also stun the kamikazes with a Thomson shot.
Yeah, were are my insanely huge legions of enemies.
Something else which is really making me skeptical is that the framerate seemed to drop quite a bit when there was only like 9 enemies, that is not a good sign.
And where are my damn duel wielded revolvers?
You could also stun the kamikazes with a Thomson shot.
You did not get the Thomson early on though, it was more of a mid-game weapon.
Anyway, now i know what im gonna play rest of the day, time to boot up good ol' Serius Sam the first encounter.

The kamikazes always took two shots to kill. And I'm pretty sure that was just towards the beginning of the game. If you look at the newest trailer, you'll see that there will still be plenty of enemies to fight at one time.

Now that you mention it i think that's true...
God it's been way too long since i played this.

It's a prequel to First Encounter which explains the reasoning for Sam going back in time in the first place, although I'm hoping there will be some time travel involved because despite how awesome fighting Gnaars with sledgehammers in modern settings would be that kind of environment has been done to death.
Just found this. It still looks just as chaotic and fun as it should be.

-snip-
Seems weird to see a game with such modern looking graphics and still having a jump sound.
