I hope they include the level editor, there were such awesome custom campaigns.
Just found this. It still looks just as chaotic and fun as it should be.

AAAAAAAAAAAH!
Uh ho
I kike how there are ironsights but no real need to use them
Also, the purple enemies (Sirius Guards, where they?) use melee attacks now. Awesome!
If only they made Serious Sam 2 on the new engine.

Just the way I love it.
Also I find it funny how nothing recoils when Serious Sam is firing it.
It's a prequel to First Encounter which explains the reasoning for Sam going back in time in the first place, although I'm hoping there will be some time travel involved because despite how awesome fighting Gnaars with sledgehammers in modern settings would be that kind of environment has been done to death.
We already know why he went back in time, it was explained in the intro of the first game.

There was no recoil back in the day

Yeah, but nowadays Serious Sam is the only guy that is in a realistic enviroment and has no recoil on his weapons.

Yeah but you see none of it, hence this game.
I've heard Serious Sam 2 isn't nearly as good as the first two games, but is it still worth a look? I've tried to get the demo to work, but it keeps crashing.

His guns are too afraid of him to recoil.

I guess that him being so serious finally gave him an advantage. :v:

I absolutely hated it. I wish I could unspend money on it.

Well shit, I guess I shouldn't buy it. :v:
All of my friends that bought the original Serious Sams decided that they should pirate SS2.
I say it paid off since Croteam obviously changed course for the better after SS2 flopped.

It's extremely cartoony, but it's still Serious Sam. Lotsa bullets, lotsa guns, lotsa enemies, lotsa death. If you can look past the cheesy cutscenes, there's still shooting to be done.

I say that the game got good only after the Kleer planet. Also downer ending left a lot of players disappointed.
I still have no idea what to think of SS3. I mean, it still looks really chaotic and fun and all, but something about the visuals just rubs me up the wrong way, it's like Croteam are always indecisive about if they want to go all grey-&-gritty or bright-&-colourful, so they try to alternate between the two or something, and it just looks a bit weird.
Still looks like a blast though.
Also, we should totally get an FP server going again at some point. SS can be fun as hell in Co-op, especially with larger groups.

These are my thoughts exactly. Something about the visuals just makes it all look a bit boring. I hope the WHOLE game doesn't take place in Egypt... the First Encounter did that, too, and it wasn't good then, either. I wish they'd come up with locales as absurd as the enemy design.
On another note, my biggest criticism of the Serious Sam series is that it's always lacked interesting weapons. Sure, it's got all the standard stuff like machine guns and shotguns and what-have-you, but none of them really stand out. (Aside from perhaps the cannon.) Compare to, say, Painkiller which has the famous shuriken/lightning gun, the stake launcher, the shotgun/freeze ray, and even the titular Painkiller which has an interesting alt-fire. I was kind of hoping maybe SS3 would try something new, but nope same old same old. Which is fine, but a bit disappointing.

There's an interesting new weapon shown in the newest trailer.

Oh, the laser whip. Interesting.
From what I've seen so far, the guns are going to be very satisfying to use anyway. Just listen to that shotgun.
Woohoo, SS3 comes out my birthday , shame none of my friends like serious sam, so I've got no-one to play co-op with.
Totally gonna get this, I already have SS:TFE, SS:TSE and their HD remakes.

Kleer Planet was the worst bit. Level after level of almost nothing but fucking Kleers. And the boss was a giant Kleer that regenerated health.
