I'm on an 8800 GTS, old, but it works. I wasn't expecting to get this game looking good, but I've got similar performance to you on all low + 720x480 resolution. I have a Q6600 too, could there be an issue with that?
Have you tried turning off rapture in the sound settings and putting it to software? I heard it helps alot.
I had a little run in with Alonso.
Have you tried turning off rapture in the sound settings and putting it to software? I heard it helps alot.
I did yeah. Only helped by shrinking a sound lag I was having before.
I now fucking love this game.
this game runs excellent with my Q9300 and 5850. The only annoying thing is that sometimes I hear the pit crew garage noises while I'm driving. Did anyone else on there first drive go straight off the track on a sharp turn and smash into a wall and wreck there car like I did? :v:
Nah, I haven't crashed once so far. A few bumps with other cars, but my first lap was done at about 20mph, the second 21, and so on. :v:
how important are the session objectives? having a lot of trouble with the bahrain qualifier one, probably would have done it at one point but i kept cutting a corner in section 3
Not all that important. Your team won't be thrilled if you fail them, but you'd have to fail a lot of them before it really becomes a problem.
"@T4RG4 Love the game, but 1 question;why don't you use real times in quali and practice? I caught Webber on track, but his time was faster?!" "@Noelinho Because we couldn't make them compete in Qualy this time out Looking to sort that though" :effort:

http://community.codemasters.com/forum/f1-2010-technical-help-1343/428996-regarding-frame-skips-low-fps-lags-game-3.html It didn't work for me but it might help you. The post is like a few posts down
I hate Spa.. got pole and lead most of race. Finished last in the last two laps because of the rain got bad and we didn't have wet tires on :(
Spa is the best race. That is assuming you don't just play the game and are an actual fan. [editline]01:59PM[/editline] Speaking of F1, Singapore Quali is about to start.
I was so sick of Malaysia I commited suicide in the 10th lap. Frontal collision with a wall.
This game runs like shit compared to the previous Ego Engine games I've played. I know F1 2010 is doing a lot, but DiRT 2 and GRID both play at a silky-smooth 60fps at all times on my system, 4x AA... F1 plays between 25 and 35fps with only 2x AA.

No there isn't. The menus and loading screens run between 50 and 150fps if I don't limit it.
The fucking pitstop bug is killing me, the only way I can finish a race is without tire wear.
Really fucking disappointed with this shoddy PC port. Bring on a bug-fixing performance patch. I expect better from Codemasters.
I have no problems performance wise. Runs perfectly smooth at high settings.
Is there anyway to save a replay of a lap in time trial?
I have no problems performance wise. Runs perfectly smooth at high settings.
I've been looking on the forums and it seems like a lot of people are having the same unexplainable symptoms I have, the main one being a crappy framerate that doesn't alter whether the settings are as high as they will go, or as low.

My system isn't all that great but i have no problems running it. Hopefully they'll patch all the bugs out soon.
Out of interest, could you post the important parts of your system spec for comparison's sake? I'm finding this poor performance very irritating and confusing, especially considering DiRT 2 runs so smoothly. I know F1 is doing more in terms of AI, track detail and weather/driving simulation... but not enough to warrant a drop of around 40 frames. I mean... I'm running ARMA 2 faster than I am running F1... and F1 was designed for shitty Xbox 360 hardware.
bought this today for ps3, and im fucking stoked, gonna start with force india. work my way to the top.
My save game is corrupt... That was quick. Only had the game a day.
Out of interest, could you post the important parts of your system spec for comparison's sake?
I'm getting 35 fps at all times, running at 1680x1050 all high and 8x AA. Specs: E6850 Dual core 3.4ghz 8800gt 512mb 4gb ram Vista 64bit.
Wow. You're running it brilliantly. It's so strange everyone's having those issues. As soon as I can fucking get it (Steam keeps failing to complete the transaction :argh:) I'll find out if I've got any problems.
Wow, Silverstone is a hard track to learn, especially the starting bits. I qualified 7th in my Hispania after producing a stunning lap (Senna qualified 22nd), and finished 13th, though it would've been higher as at least 3 drivers skipped pit stops. Oh yeah, and Hispania offered me a year extension to my contract, with 11 times the paycheck ($0.5m -> $5.5m), though I'm holding out on Toro Rosso.
My PC runs it fine at 40fps+ every thing on high, and 1600x900 res. Specs are: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1155948
