Wow, Silverstone is a hard track to learn, especially the starting bits. I qualified 7th in my Hispania after producing a stunning lap (Senna qualified 22nd), and finished 13th, though it would've been higher as at least 3 drivers skipped pit stops. Oh yeah, and Hispania offered me a year extension to my contract, with 11 times the paycheck ($0.5m -> $5.5m), though I'm holding out on Toro Rosso.
I never liked Silverstone, If only Donnington was done up to standards and that would've been in the grand prix this year rather than Silverstone.
I wish Hockenheim would go back to their old track. That was the fastest F1 circuit ever.
Montreal and Hockenheim are too easy, got 2 pole positions and converted them to win and second place. On Lotus :suicide:
just got a drivingforce gt, how many degrees of rotation does a f1 steeringwheel have? it doesnt seem to set it automatically

This is what I thought, first few practices I was thinking to myself this is my toughest drive out but I mastered it with good memory, ended up winning the race :D The first corners are great.

Approximately 180 degrees lock-to-lock in this game. Some of the real ones go up to 270 I think, although only for the sake of a smaller turning circle. That doesn't yield any benefit on track.
first race notes:
qualified 24th, by about 6 seconds
got to 21st off the first corner
21st for ~2 laps
overtaken twice through spinning
23rd~2 laps
up to 13th from everyone pitting(at this point, button was in 13, but i overtook him, and not just for a few seconds, a whole minute.
pit on the 4th lap, tryin to avoid the long line of cars, still have to wait 3 seconds or because of this.
24th place on 8th lap
got up to 22nd, no way i was going any higher, so was just being casual.
so im not the greatest, but with a bit of time i should be able to build it up.
My save game is corrupt... That was quick. Only had the game a day.
Yeah, same. I was only on the third career event though.
Fix your fucking game, Codemasters.
Going to buy it Monday hopefully for PS3, good bye degree...
Save game corrupt.

Reading these posts, I've just gone and backed up my save progress lol.

Same, last practice session for second gran prix. But if they're gonna corrupt this soon, how are we supposed to get anywhere in career mode?
rushed game is rushed
Well went to load, save game corrupted AGAIN.
I'm not playing this game until there's a patch. Fuck you, Codemasters.
You think Steam Support would make an exception to their "no refunds" policy for a really damn irate customer?

Which folder is the file in?

Unfortunately, no.
Wow. My career gets better and better! From the duldrums of disqualification at Monaco, I pushed the Hispania car to its absolute limits and qualified 4th at Hockenheim. Then after the pit stops were done I was 5th for ~4 laps, until I messed up the braking on the very last lap and Liuzzi and Button overtook me, thus I came 7th. Best ever finish though :D. It's so amazingly tense this game, you've got to concentrate so hard on some of the corners to get the braking just right.

My documents/games/formulaone
At least on win7..
I just finished Melbourne, qualified 8th, placed 6th. Not bad.
I upped the race length to 50% and I'm doing all 3 pratice and qualifying sessions. Hard work but good fun.

And I thought it was a realistic game...

He's got the difficulty turned down. Turn it up to it's absolute hardest, and it'll take some serious doing to qualify 18th in a Hispania.

I managed to get 13th in a lotus, was 10th most of the race and finished 11th because barrichello is faster on the straights.

Sorry to burst your bubble but bots just suck too much at Hockenheim and Montreal :buddy: Got pole positions on Lotus on both tracks while being ~20 everywhere else.
Actually, you're right, it is too easy. I just got the 11th best time in Bahrain practice 1. In a Lotus.
Running it
Everything Ultra High at 1920x1080
Running constant 45fps while driving full race.
Specs are on my xfire.

I'm just going to go ahead and make Singapore predictions.
Alonso and Vettel will hit each other in some way.
McLaren will give Lewis or Jenson a position losing pitstop.
Atleast two of the starting five cars will retire.
Webber will finish on podium.
Vettel and Alonso both won't finish on podium.
Winning margin will be less then 2 seconds.
Heidfeld will be in the points.
Bruno will not finish.
Kubica will finish on the podium.
This will be the best Singapore.
I'm getting 35 fps at all times, running at 1680x1050 all high and 8x AA. Specs:

fuck
I'm on a quad core, 4GB RAM and a HD 4870 and I'm getting between 20-30 frames running with no AA.
This is dumb.

For added effect I'm going to attempt to do the same amount of laps on F1 2010 while watching it.

Nice, a gamer who can play without looking! believe me you won't be watching it, too much attention on the game and what if you crash :D

I'm playing on Hard, with an automatic gearbox. Most of the good qualifying laps I get (like the 4th) are either total flukes or I used the flashback system to make them better (though I generally use it to correct mistakes in a lap where the sector times were green up until the mistake).

I'm basically set on the fact that I'm still one of the only F1 fans on this forum, and that this game hasn't brought any other of my kind out.
:smith:
Regardless though, I will still impose my love of the sport on all of you. :v:
