Nice, a gamer who can play without looking! believe me you won't be watching it, too much attention on the game and what if you crash :D
Ok, I'll listen to it. And when someone bails i'll pause the game, rewind the crash on my TV and see what happened.
Or you could be cool and actually watch the race and not let your ADD take control. :smug:

I'm on a quad core, 4GB RAM and a HD 4870 and I'm getting between 20-30 frames running with no AA.
This is dumb.
I run it maxed with 8x AA on Q6600, 4 Gb RAM and HD4670 512 Mb :v:
im renting it on xbox 360 and playing on easy and im still only going around 15-10th on qualifying and races (i blame it being me playing on xbox tbh)
Okay, I turned the sound settings to hardware instead of whatever engine it was running on and now I'm running it maxed with 4x AA but only between 20 and 35 fps.
Still not ideal.
McLaren will give Lewis or Jenson a position losing pitstop.
Webber will finish on podium.
Winning margin will be less then 2 seconds.
Bruno will not finish. :smug:
Fuck Lewis, Fuck Nando, Fuck Bruno

All of your predictions were either right or very close!
And to the save game corrupt people, are you all on PC?

good race
i don't care much for vettel, impatient kid who had someone with a bedazzler do his helmet for the weekend.
He should have taken one for the team and taken out Alonso.
The tears that would follow would be beautiful.
do you get separate flashbacks for qualifying and the race? just moved onto melbourne and all those 90 degree turns are a pain in the arse
I'm really annoyed by the fact that there is no Dutch helmet available.

Webber is definitely my favourite, he just has so much more experience.
Really don't like the multiplayer for this game. The whole menu system, only 12 players, the auto microphone chat etc. Feels like such a shit job.
Also has anyone noticed how difficult it is to actually spin your car the correct way back onto track? Really need to add a clutch so you can get the thing spinning. Oh and some of the corners of the track will make you spin no matter what, just for touching them. Can take your foot off the accelerator but you will still spin, kind of lame.
Spins like that feel more like an animation, rather than the car loosing traction.
Other than that, I'm enjoying the career.

You're obviously doing something wrong if you keep spinning.

Have you seen how bots get back to the track? Fucking cheating, their car just rotates the needed amount of degrees and keep going.
You're obviously doing something wrong if you keep spinning.
The spins are really out of control some time, I had this "Oh and some of the corners of the track will make you spin no matter what, just for touching them. Can take your foot off the accelerator but you will still spin, kind of lame." too.
Just had a third pole position, in Monza, but it was raining again and after the whole race leading I made a mistake at the first corner of the final lap and finished just third :( At least Alonso hit me at full speed and retired without causing me no damage whatsoever.
I bet you're climbing the curb too much.
I bet you're climbing the curb too much.
Sometimes, but it shouldn't turn me 180 degrees instantly as if I was smashing my throttle.
You're obviously doing something wrong if you keep spinning.
I don't keep spinning, I mean there's areas of the track that if you touch, even without accelerating you will spin guarenteed.
I just found a nice glitch/bug. Going around a corner at Malaysia, my car just exploded for no reason, like I hit a wall. I'm looking at the replay, my car just....hit something invisible....riiight
-el snippo-
Hmm, rear left tire burst twice at the same point in the track too..something not quite right with Malaysia : (
Malaysia sucks.
It's not too bad once you learn it. I've just done all 3 practice sessions and I ended up 5th. I may turn up the AI difficulty from intermediate to pro, or whatever the next one up is. Not sure if a virgin should be able to get that high up. :D
qualifying is a load of bollocks on the game
the AI's times are chosen before you start, same with practice
in other words game picks times for drivers from pre programmed tables
in other news had a good 3 hour session on multiplayer on 360 version, no whiners or anything just pure fun
Ugh, the more people talk about this the less it seems I want to get this. It seems like a load of bullshit and laziness to be honest.
To be honest, most of the problems in this game seem like bugs which will be fixed in the first few updates. Leave it for a couple weeks, and it should improve a lot.

I am. Dunno about the others.

That's pretty much what I thought. It seems no matter what happens, every spin leaves me facing backwards. Every single time. Not once have I ended up sideways. It's as though the game doesn't let you catch the car once the back end breaks out.
If you're having trouble spinning, try setting the weight balance to lean more to the front than the back. Or 50/50. The understeer setups have the weight further back, but all this seems to do is promote oversteer, and cause the car to spin. The guy who made these setups seems to have missed the point there. :v:
Just started in 13th in a Williams and finished 4th in the rain at Melbourne.
Wet races. Shit is intense.
It's funny how this game gets my adrenaline going far better than any shitty shooter.
Well I still think I'll buy this. All this negative talk still hasn't been enough to quell my need for a racing game.
It's funny - apart from the really shitty optimisation I've been getting, I haven't encountered any pitstop bugs or anything of that nature.

The spinning wouldn't be so bad if there was a way to actually regain control of the car but there just isn't.
Rfactor, as soon as you feel the car starting to lose traction you can just counter and get it 90% of the time but this just feels too much like an animation.

It's not that bad overall.
Like the other guy says, a few patches here and there and it will be great. Well, the singleplayer anyway. I'm not so fond of the multiplayer at the moment. Too console orientated.

You are doing it wrong, I am the master of regaining control because of the 2nd turn in Bahrain, if you take that corner with any amount of throttle at the curb you will spin because one of your tires comes off the ground.
I can regain control as soon as I feel the car going sideways, I let go of the throttle and brake a little and steer a little bit in the other direction.
