You are doing it wrong, I am the master of regaining control because of the 2nd turn in Bahrain, if you take that corner with any amount of throttle at the curb you will spin because one of your tires comes off the ground.
I can regain control as soon as I feel the car going sideways, I let go of the throttle and brake a little and steer a little bit in the other direction.
OR you can be really cool and slam down the throttle, keep turning 360 degrees and carry on.
The spinning wouldn't be so bad if there was a way to actually regain control of the car but there just isn't.
Rfactor, as soon as you feel the car starting to lose traction you can just counter and get it 90% of the time but this just feels too much like an animation.
Exactly. No amount of opposite lock helps you in this. Once it's gone, it's gone, gonna leave you facing backwards invariably, and occassionally with an added dangerous driving penalty.

You spin your wheels on Turn 2? How? I take it almost flat out every time, and everything turns out fine.
OR you can be really cool and slam down the throttle, keep turning 360 degrees and carry on.
Not in this game, you can't. :v:
Turns 8 and 19 on Bahrain kill me the most. I have to be really careful on the throttle on both, and 8 takes so much getting used to as driving in the cockpit view makes it hard to see.

You'll spin even without throttle...that's just not right.
Also no amount of recovery has ever saved me from spins.. Sure you can correct your car from fish tailing when you accelerate out of a corner too hard but those spins...nah..
Rfactor I can recover all day long.

No I'm sorry it's the fourth turn forgot the few corners after the first one.
Oh right. Most of the time I take that corner flat out, but I do feel the car getting skittish through there every time. Then 5 goes over a crest, all the while the car still doesn't feel firmly planted, and then you have to slam the brakes on for the turn in to 6. That catches me out sometimes.
Also, does downforce maky any difference in this game? It doesn't seem to for me. I can't corner any faster with it, it's not faster in the straights without it...
I can spin the wheels and turn around, a lot faster then going in reverse and trying to find your way out.

It makes a difference in the rain though, try a heavy rain track with low downforce and option tires, then put the wings for full downforce.
Well I still think I'll buy this. All this negative talk still hasn't been enough to quell my need for a racing game.
I haven't encountered any bugs yet, and the game runs perfectly fine for me. Well worth the money imo.
Just came back from my friends again, the hardest settings are too easy for me. Setting Red Bull IRL Paces with Chandhok with no assists and a custom made F1 wheel my friend has with the clutch paddles. :(
I wish I could simulate the 5 G's in the corners. Maybe then it would be tougher.
I thought it was 3-4?
I don't think the game takes the clutch into account. Codemasters games never do, which is a shame.

More so when you spin out on Monaco...there isn't no way you can get facing the right way without a 3 or 4 point turn lol.
Should just be able to spin it back the right way :(

Nope, in F1 cars, you can suffer from -5 to 5 G's or more in hard braking corners. It's insane. I only suffer about 2 when I drive Formula Ford.
Also, I use the clutch paddles anyway. :smug:
You can recover from a spin which is about to happen, the only problem is you have about 0.10 to do it in.
Multiplayer is fun, I just wish people didn't always try to ram you off the road, this is F1 not Flatout.

I don't mind accidents, they happen, tough luck. Hopefully it doesn't turn out like GRID did.
Why the hell do I always get a rain race in Bahrain. It's a fucking desert. :gonk:
Also, that pitstop bug is annoying, i was on 7th with the Lotus, i pit, and i'm 24 because i had to let all of them pass.
1st sectors in Suzuka and Silverstone make me rage SO HARD
Suzuka's first sector and Silverstone's first sector are the best bits of the tracks what are you on about?
manage to finish 12th after qualifying 12th for virgin in melbourne, was 10th with a couple seconds on kubica but had a 10 second penalty for hitting webber on the bend.
I like the Ascari Chicane the best :3:
Please turke, don't be an Italian vagina.
The best corner/straight/thing is Eau Rouge. 'nuff said

Ascari, then Eau Rouge. Or if it rains, Eau Rouge first.
[editline]04:09PM[/editline]
Didn't they change Eau Rouge a while back anyway? To make it less steep or something, I cant remember.
No. Never. They can never change Eau Rouge.
They did make Spa a bit safer though.

It was 6 cars actually. The Ferraris, Jordans, and Minardis were the only cars to race, since Michelin messed up and brought tires that wouldn't last the whole race as demonstrated by poor Ralf Schumacher. Since it was a no tire change season, this made all the Michelin teams retire since the FIA refused to put in a chicane at the tire degrading penultimate corner of Indianapolis. f1 2010 is top of the uk's sales charts, above reach and dead rising 2.
I'm going fucking mental at shanghai in the wet, simply can't get competitive. Qualified 23rd and jumped up to 15th on the first corner, but I seem to be spinning out more than ever :psypop:
