Battlefield is better for more open shit.

I'd like to begin with when I heard the phrase "BF1" I nearly puked. It is non-existent. If you're thinking of 1942, don't call it that.
edit: Now I am even more mad, because you were referring to BFC1. Bad company isn't really my kind of game at all. The humor and the characters annoy me somewhat. I want to make clear BFC is not linear with the original BF franchise. BF3 is linear with BF2, not BFC.
Well the only two reasons I am interested in BF3 are:

2) The mass destruction and realism.

Bad Company 1 had the best maps of any of the BF games I've played though. Didn't much care for the campaign.

BF 2142 is my favorite Battlefield game in general because it seemed to improve on all aspects of BF2s gameplay

I loved all bf games, but I agree 2142 was my favorite bf game out of them all.
The Battlefield series always gives the player the feeling of being a part of big skirmish or battle. You need a bit of teamplay and coordination using vehicles and the abilities of the other classes.
Which really is unique because it combines all these aspects.
Call of Duty is just an excessive multiplayer shooter without any innovation, killing some people is damn boring after a while. I don't want to look like a smug bastard but often I am pretty good at these games and you can overwhelm a lot of enemies by shooting them, it gets boring fast.
In BF you have to adapt because you are simply unable to destroy a tank or kill someone with superior range. You have to think.
They're two completely different FPS's with different things going for them.

The call of duty community is terrible I don't like little kids running around with automatic shot guns hogging helicopters they cant pilot without killing the whole team, BFBC is already filled with snipers I don't want to join a match where everyone is a sniper and is complaining about bullet drop and saying it unrealistic because "cock of dooty does not bullet drop cuz it a simulatur" they think call of duty is the best game in the world when they haven't played the games before MW2 then like you said would go hipster saying they played it before it went mainstream and that they played bf2 and treat it like the first game in the series.

Because that means you've only played Bad company series, (assuming that bf1 = bfbc, so bf2 = bfbc2), thus making your arguement just retarded on the battlefield "side", and also the fact that you never mention BF 1942 or the expansions, BF2, BF 2142 and you seem like some kid that has only heard of the bad company series and don't even talk about the good battlefields, because imo Bad companies were nothing like battlefield.

That isn't the first Battlefield made, thats like the 5th or so. Battlefield 1942 was the first made, then Vietnam, then Battlefield 2, then Bf2 expansions, and Etc.
