We'll see where things go. I've seen a lot of 'promising' stuff in threads (all over the internet with as leading example CryDev where people place a tree in an empty level and think it's a 'game') with huge ideas and lots of promises, but in the end, they all either quit because of the lack of work or the lack of effort / input.

Okay guys, lets get it straight, the project is ALIVE and is being developed very intensively, I found a very talanted industrial team who will work as any other developer. Right now were are working on code, and mechanics in the game so We don't have anything visual to show yet, Indeed I was wrong posting this too early knowing how many impatient text haters are on these forums, but guys, give people a fucking chance god damn it! Who are you to judge other's decisions while most of you have done nothing at all but saying "He's an idea's guy".

They're also like this for a reason. There's been countless cases where someone posts a new thread in GGD about a game/mod in development and it falls at one point or the other because they either have too much to do in real life or don't have the necessary skills...a lot of reasons have been discovered. What I'm trying to say here is that we don't have a lot of faith, but that doesn't stop him from trying. We won't turn down progress, but we are very skeptical of something with no proof of progress.
And when I say we I mean the majority of folk browsing GGD.
Same here, I'm exactly the same (Crydev has A LOT of these 'idea threads' actually) so yeah, also very sceptical. But again, I won't make him disbelief his own skills so we'll see where this goes :v:

If we just let anyone with a game idea post their thread here it would be obnoxious.
If someone is serious, then there shouldn't be an issue with waiting until you have something to show.
And from a game design point of view, how are you going to implement your ideas? Plenty of games have mutants to shoot, driving, and upgrading. What sets your mechanics apart from theirs? Why should I play your game over STALKER? A game which is not only fun, but has a developed community of players and modders?

this is the reaction of anyone sensible, as nice as I'm sure this guy is, he's given the world no reason to believe he's anything but a typical ideas guy who has no way to actually create what he's dreaming of
it happens so often it gets very very boring
The reason why people are skeptical is because if you really are a developer, this is FP's way of weeding out the weak and incapable. Or the stupid I suppose. If you truly are developing this into a serious project, you would ignore the "hate" and plow through until you had something to show. Because in reality, if you fall out through the project, who loses? Sure as fuck isn't us, why would we care. We only care if it's actual piece of work we can comment on. If you post this with absolutely 0 content, we have literally nothing to say to you [b]except[/b] your lack of content.
So by posting with no content, you have pretty much asked FP, "Can you critique me on my no-content thread." in which we did. If you want a serious response, make us treat you seriously. Get down to work, stop posting in this thread, and come back when you have proof that development is indeed going how you say it is.

I.. That "wall" is way smaller than that tree. Like, it looks like a wall for ants, maybe a mouse at best. Also with your grammatical skill and temper, I'd suggest hiring a PR guy, because you're really fucking bad at it.
I do kinda agree with draugur being a PR guy myself.

I feel as if the team lead needs to be more then an ideas guy for a project to succeed, the indie games I see take off in the best direction possible is when the team lead is a programmer. Good luck finding someone to write you thousands, and thousands of line of code for you OP, for free on top of it.
