I just noticed that you can duplicate weapons by picking it up from the floor at the same time a buddy does, both of you receive the weapon and drop the one in your hand normaly.

Not sure about that. Hearing wailing guitar remixes of Doom music during that same part takes the cake for me. Vortal Combat during the elevator defense segment for me, though, was pure win - got me pumped up to literally weave in between aliens and attacks and tesla everything to hell.

Does anyone else laugh maniacally when they unleash a Hornet Rocket barrage modded in the console? Also, does anyone else use Wario Land 4's Hurry Up! song as their battle music? Works wonders in the Finale.
I have a better one which doesn't kill you randomly if you touch a wall.

Some set piece/level ideas. I might use these in a map, might not, but they're free for anyone else to try and implement:
1. An outdoor level where the tech has to drive a vehicle, while the other players ride on top of it and protect it from harm.
2. A level with a standard "hack the computer and protect the tech from the horde" objective, but along the way you can hack other computers to activate NPC turrets in the objective room that help you out with the objective.
3. An underground facility campaign (hint hint Black Mesa hint hint). Last mission, the squad activates a fuel-air explosive and then has to run like hell to a cargo elevator that leads to the surface. No matter how much time they have left, they still narrowly outrun the fireball; cue boss fight on a fast-moving elevator as the flames catch up with you.

But that requires you to be maximum level. Hornets are unlocked in the first digit of levels, therefore, Hornet missiles are better.
