Thanks to grindings and such, I am now fully leveled up.

Something that bugs me is that lots of people either keep asking about the first-person commands or complaining that it sucks. The folks trying to establish it well are either just doing autoexec configs or they're planning on going the full route and making viewmodels and so forth.
My idea is simple and might possibly save time since the characters aim pretty accurately in third-person; find a way to play a camera inside the head of the player's marine (not the normal glitchy camera) but in an angle, maybe the very front of the head, that allows you to see your arms, weapon(s) and body. Would it be possible and work as I think it would? :raise:
Honestly, the "everything is hard limited" aspect of this game kills it for me.
If NOTHING else, the medigin should slowly recharge. Hell, even Killing Floor has blatantly unlimited full-heals with a good medic, and look how hard that stayed with it.

Updates to Alien Swarm have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:
Alien Swarm
The Vindicator’s grenade explosion effect should no longer crash users running a GTX260 graphics card.
Fixed a bug where marines would continue to be buffed by the Damage Amp if they were standing in it when it expired.
[B]Fixed ammo usage on the Tesla Cannon to properly decrease 4 times a second instead of 2 (doubled clip size to account for this).
Rebalanced Tesla Cannon’s damage to encourage it to be used more as a support weapon.
Tesla Cannon will now use ammo slowly even when it isn’t damaging something.[/B]
Fixed Unicode text chat

I hate the idea of playing Alien Swarm in first person. For me, the unique thing about AS is that it ISN'T the same old thing as every other game we play! Trying to turn it into that is kind of going backwards in my eyes.

Tesla was OP anyway. Did they fix the asw commands yet?
I really hope they add more levels to this soon, I felt like I was just getting into it right as I beat it.

I can't believe they nerfed the tesla gun. I used that when I played the medic. I didn't have to worry about healing people I hurt. :saddowns:
Just played on a modded server, we had infinite ammo on every weapon, apparently is server sided, is called Fight club server, it can fuck your stats up, so be careful.

Played something like that earlier, the infinite rockets are so cheap.

I played on a server where everyone was apparently doing massive damage. I also believe that the game speed was increased too. What fun matchmaking is.

At first some jackasses were whining about the Tesla Gun being powerful. So, Valve caved in, and now [i]us[/i] jackasses are whining about the Tesla Gun being nearly useless!

You mean like... the SW Battlefront / Mass effect 3rd person cameras?

.. Not exactly. I'm talking about a first-person camera, although that'd kinda work for third-person too I guess if you pull the camera out a bit. What i'm saying is attach the camera to the very front of the marine visors or something like that so you can still see your arms, body, and weapon. Pull the camera back and raise it a little and you'd get the type of third-person you described.
There usually tends to be a lot of head bobbing problems with this method.
Just played for a while, at first I though the game would be really dull and repetitive but it's pretty good!
The new tesla gun does suck ass though.
