However the Alien Swarm Folder only appears when I have the SDK open in the common folder, and is gone even with hidden folders turned on. Even then the folder isn't arranged like a normal source game, there is no AS/models/etc as in TF2, and i have no idea how to make those packets mods like in L4D2
So does anyone know the console command for enabling the server browser? This matchmaking crap is getting on my nerves.

Fuck, i still can't find where to put theses stupid files so that they work in game...
I'm just working on a tileset, but I'll only finish it if anyone is interested. It uses the same graphical style as the example set, but it includes (or is going to include) 2x1 and 1x2 door pieces (locked and unlocked), a set for making larger, custom shape rooms (ie 1x1 pieces that consist of walls, exits, corners, etc with a 1x1 open space, to allow for a larger variety of room shapes and sizes), timed/triggered rooms (such as doors that only open after x number of kills, slow doors and moving bridges), one way doors and L4D style safe rooms with health packs and ammo. It should be finished by the end of the weekend.

I kinda solo'd the campaign on normal, my only teammate often died towards the end and I had to cure my infestation all by myself with no medic. :saddowns:

Isn't welding a door completely waste of time? It seems if you weld it just for a millisecond it takes as much as time to break open but a lot less time to weld open.

After the defense part is over, behind that door is supposed to be a long catwalk with an evac ship at the end of it, swarm will be all fucking over that catwalk as you run to it. Then I'll most likely have a hack or something, like I guess another door before you can win.

Perhaps you could have the slow airlock (which wouldn't seem out of place if they were going to the evac ship).

I'd be pissed if I survived the whole game and had the tech get killed at the last minute. I'm keeping the starting button hack only though to stop retards from starting early.
Any tips on Mapping? Have some neat idea's for a map/campaign. Some tips or a push in the right direction would be nice.
The people in this game are morons, the medics all fucking suck and always let me die. And everyone fucking steals ammo.

Keep it low light too. In fullbright a swarm of over a hundred aliens doesn't look that scary, in low light that swarm looks like a demon coming to steal your soul.
