Carmack said unified lighting would completely fuck then-current hardware and as sikkmod has shown he was right.

One thing I didn't like about DooM 3 was the fact all the gun's fire sounds sounded like pieces of plastic banging together. Although then again all the guns looked like they where made from plastic.

That's probably what they were. Trent Reznor originally did the sounds and they were much better (in the alpha), but he left sadly.

I've had Doom3 on PC since last christmas steam sale but I never got around to play it. I've only ever played Doom3 on xbox which is so much easier. I'm having a hard time on Marine difficulty on PC. It's definitely a lot better though.

I wish I could play Sikkmod. But I can't disable Catalyst AI so when I turn any option on Sikkmod, my graphics get stretched

i saw some nice screens of quake 4 and doom 3 with sikkmod, i got this mod but textures looks the same there is any HD texture pack for this games?

Oh god, i followed the instructions to install Wulfen texture pack and it doesn't even acknowledge it's existence. So both Wulfen texture pack and Sikkmod don't work.

Yeah, I was looking around and there is no way to disable Catalyst AI with the 6900 series of AMD graphics cards, so I'm shit out of luck playing Sikkmod.
