The one with the green-blue background was by far the best one imo. So much less intrusive than the all-white one.

Let's look at the similarities:
-Icons
-Context menus
-Some form of Taskbar(if not more than one)
- same basic layout
-etc. etc.
Where as those consoles tend to have quite different styles, and frankly, the new Metro UI integration for Xbox is fantastic, because it's a [i]different[/i] concept that WORKS (look at Windows phone, it's FAR more functional than iPhone)
I find it quite funny that you don't complain about the OSx/Win/Lin similarities, but if you grow the idea in your head that two consoles look in any way shape or form similar, one is a bliatant ripoff of the other...

I don't really mind this one. I mean hell, I don't spend more than a few seconds on the dashboard, so it doesn't really matter at all.

there are plenty of free, reliable online gaming networks. one insecure example does not a trend make
microsoft makes buttloads off of all the games they sell, acting like there's anything other than a profit motive for charging for xbox live is absurd

Oh if you have it on good authority from millions you must be right...If not a single person in this thread likes 'upgrading' dashboards does that imply welcoming it. I'd much rather have the original dash with blades where everything was simple rather than 'sleek' looking which is another way of saying everything is square and glides for no apparent reason.
