Source would not be a good engine for this at all. The maps can only be so big and loading times are a bitch. Oblivion would be great for this; in fact I've been trying to recreate this in Oblivion.

But, alas, [highlight]the Construction Kit is about as stable as a stack of cards in a hurricane[/highlight].

So don't expect it to be done soon, or at all. :v:

Like: where do I put the bin file, where do I put the cue file, do I rename them, etc.

First, you should get a bios, else the emulator won't work. You can download [url=http://files.filefront.com/SCPH1001BIN/;5483066;/fileinfo.html]this one[/url]. Just put scph1001.bin in the "bios" folder.

For the ROM, it doesn't matter, you can put those anywhere you want. Run psxfin.exe, and wait until it displays the "main menu". Go in File, Insert CD Image, and look for the .cue file you have downloaded with the ROM. Select it, and you are done. :v:

It's normal. This game is supposed to have these chinese writings in some dreams.

I've noticed that those black connections, the dark hallways at the edges of a lot of the areas, seem to always link between two specific areas.

I think it may be possible to make a map of the recurring areas. I'm going to start figuring out the various connections.

Ok, something weird just happened. I had just finished day 39, and when it was showing me that chart at the end, 4 of the squares I had filled in, I think they were the eyes and the mouth and then one point directly below that, all turned green and then it showed me (I'm pretty sure it was) all of those videos back to back. Then it just went back to the main screen, on day 40. Did I beat the game?

I'm bumping this because the download's on 99%, I've just read the whole thread, it's dark, and I'm scared shitless. Wish me luck FP. D:

edit: I'll play a few days, and say what happens between then.

day 1: so I was inside some place, I started walking around, bumped into a wall and was transported to some place with yellow fog and a flashing river, so I walked accross a bridge and saw some lady walking really slow. So I let her walk into me, and I ended up in some grassy place with landmarks, and a cave. I walked into the cave, and ended up in a desert, and got freaked out when I saw some camels pop up in the sky briefly (see screenshot). After "the camel incident", I walked around until the day ended.

day 2: some asian text.

day 3: walked around the starting room, this time there was a fireplace in a room with a checkered floor, I walked into the little dragon statue and was teleported to a grassy place, with elephants (? (see screenshot)) walking towards a hole, as I was waiting for the elephants to walk into the hole, a pterodactyl flew down and scared me, so I fell in the hole. the day ended.

day 4: Didn't start in the hotel today, started in some temple place, with a jackal like statue in the middle of the room. looked left, look right, took 1 step and the jackal thing ran at me and ate me. I appeared in the same place as day 1, on a bridge, and I heard some loud rumbling sound, so I looked to the left, and saw some HUEG guy walking slowly towards the town (see left screenshot). I walked into it (which did nothing), so I walked over (and accidentally into the side of) a bridge, which teleported me to some grassy sky islands (see right screenshot), with a strange map thing on the left of me. I ran around the floating islands, going across the bridges (which made some strange sqeaky sound as I walked on them), until I could go no further. I saw a giant floating crystal, and decided to walk off the edge at it. This ended the day.
