Finally got the flashlight logic correct. Still no separate model and the lighting looks completely awful but... it works. Turn off and on with X, if it's on and you holster the gun it turns off automatically, unholster and it's back on. If it's off when you holster it it stays off. Pretty proud of my code :v:

10/10 chance that the developers probably hoped on the community improving the game not too shabby for a game made in 7 days, really fun and the firearm mechanics are really deep

Still a threat, but this time they aren't instant kill, and rather just a serious annoyance. I picked numbers out of a hat and if you get shocked 13 times within 7 seconds you die, and for like 2 seconds your movement is almost halved. Lighting should be awful since I don't have Unity Pro And what you're looking at gameplay wise is toned down fall damage and less lethal but still fucking annoying taser bots. Had a go at modding this myself. Added in a flashlight on the weapon, and made it toggle-able and made a physical object that you have to pick up and attach once you've found it. You also have a chance of spawning with it, and with it on or off by default. The more your head and gun shakes when you walk the less healthy you are, which would go with a progressively more present vignette around the screen, and maybe your ears deafening. Also tazbots should make your ears whistle (or whatever you call this) when they taze you. I wouldn't be against some walking robots that go after you though. [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] And someone needs to code some sort of melee attack where you can swing your gun up and down when the safety is engaged or that you have no bullets in it. Wouldn't really deal any damage, just push around turrets or knock away tazbots.
Zombies or humanoid robots can also be justification for shit AI.
Just came to an area with about 10 drones and 3 turrets in a wide open space. Went well (not). Also Protocol, your mod has seemed to have added parasols to my game? [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ixV6w.png[/thumb]
Let me know when you guys get a working winchester or magnum. Makes me wish I could code.
Fixed a couple more things. Made the weapon model ignore Z-depth so that it doesn't clip with geometry any more. [t]http://i.imgur.com/5oLDf.png[/t] Sorted out the options menu so that it uses the Unity GUILayout functions instead of the ones Wolfire put in there. If Daniel puts networking into this, wouldn't it be possible to make a kind of RTS vs FPS mod for this? With one player controlling turrets and drones, others trying to survive. They'd be rare as hell but something you'd use to clear a room of turrets/fliers if you haven't got enough bullets.
