Shotgun rotates when it's pumped back so you can see if there's a round in the chamber now

It's a pretty damn lethal shotgun
(but no really it's just buckshot, it just fires "bullets")

Shotgun reloading is a little more realistic
You can load directly into the chamber if you have the pump back, but you can load into the mag tube at any time so long as you aren't aiming down the sights. however if you are aiming down the sights you can load a shell into the chamber directly
A frag grenade would be really cool, you'd had to pull the pin, let go of the spring and/or toss it using mouse movement.
NinjaWilko and Protocol7 should join up and both work together for mods for this. All NinjaWilko's stuff, and Protocol7's shotgun and flashlight and such together would be pretty awesome.
Maybe you could try to implement normal maps for a bit more detail on the exterior of that pistol, and fix up that shotgun. Could also allow a decent amount more detail on the bots.
Also, those achievements are awesome. If I had one little critism, the sound should be a little shorter. It sounds kinda "clunky" right now, if you understand me.

Humanoid enemies that are not dumb fucks would be impossible to add. AI is extremely hard to make, there's a reason the original game had robots only.
Oh yeah. They'd be dumb. Plus the multilevel shit would make it REALLY hard to code navigation.

That could be easy.
also introducing jams.
for that you'd have to take the magazine out and jiggle the slide till the bullet pops out i guess.
and you could play with that making it a 50-50 chance that it's either a dud or a live bullet just gets stuck. so when you clear it you might be able to reuse the jammed bullet.
you'd probably want it to happen a lot more often than it realistically does (which is almost never, especially for a gun like the 1911). could be explained by the environment fucking with your gun.

But yes, occlusion culling should theoretically offer a gigantic performance boost, especially when you roam out far.

It should have a way lower rate of fire than the turrets to make them balanced. Kill bots are difficult enough to deal with as it is, add a gun to them and they'd be insanely lethal. If not make it possible to survive multiple hits as with the shocking.
Don't worry, what I've shown you is a literal copy and paste of the turret's firing code and the shock drone's movement code. I'll be tweaking it
i think the difficulty of the game in general should be lowered.
my sessions don't last all that long.
Alright, gun bots are good to go.
How they work:
1 in 10 chance of spawning in place of a taser drone
They have 10 bullets to shoot instead of the 15 of turrets
Once they start shooting, they don't stop, even if you duck behind a wall or something
When they run out of bullets, they die.
So they're still very lethal but if you have your wits about you (it takes about a second for it to fire all its bullets) you'll be safe.
Could be tweaked for now but I really really like the idea of "Pulls the trigger once, and when it runs out of ammo it dies"
Time Splitters 3 monkey gun, anyone? (It's a gun that shoots all 40 or so bullets it has in a second)

handling the gun is easy, loading and everything is second nature.
i just can't aim for shit, which is weird because i'm normally a good shot in video games.
probably a combination of the lag and the 640x480 resolution i have to run it at.. (my monitor is 1280x1024 btw lol)

I noticed that aiming is a lot easier for me when running it at Full Screen rather than Windowed Mode.
