Shouldn't pre-beta buyers be entitled to this for free? After all, he said we'd get all future versions of Minecraft at no charge.
I posted it in the android thread but here's good too.
Shame it wasn't free for people who bought Minecraft. Still, just bought it anyway.
Does it work on touchscreen phones?
Because if it's compatible with my Thunderbolt then holy shit.
Can I play this on an Xperia X8?
when it comes out for all Android devices, most likely not. its not multitouch, doesn't have a physical keyboard and is slow as shit.

All Notch has to do is say that the 360 / xperia minecraft isn't a "version" and is a completely separate game, and the concepts in that image completely fall apart.
It boots on other devices but there are no controls.

Tried the demo btw.

But he already said it's a version?

On his blog, ok great. He could go on his blog and say "hey everyone, minecraft is going to become free tommorow", that doesn't mean he's legally obligated to make minecraft free.
His blog isn't a legal document, it can't be picked apart on terminology like the image is doing, it just doesn't work.
If anyone were to try and take action against notch over this it's pretty much certain that they'd fall flat on their face and end up just having to fork out legal costs.
wow it's $7 for a mobile version anyway, it's pocket change and nobody is forcing you to buy it

I don't understand the "FREE MINECRAFT" header in the image. Is the anonymous author reassuring players that the 360 and Xperia versions of Minecraft will be free to Alpha customers? Is he threatening Mojang with legal action when they turn out to not be free? Or maybe he's only trying to start trouble by encouraging players to feel entitled to the 360 and Xperia versions for free.
I thought the image was one of those "troll science" comics...I found it funny and appreciated the effort the author had to have gone through to construct an argument that actually looks solid at first glance. I'm baffled that people are rating it "winner" and taking it seriously :v:
Besides, all technicalities aside, it's basically implied that versions means revisions of the desktop app.
Pissed because I forgot the password to my alpha account, and Mojang's not really helpful with password recovery...
