I remember when that show actually had cheats. Now it's "HERE'S HOW TO PWN IN BLOPS!" and "TO WIN THIS BATTLE, SHOOT THE GUYS ON THE OTHER SIDE!"

Captain obvious - "That's because modern games do not have cheats!"

Anyone else remember that glorious cheatcode?
I still remember like the important cheats for GTA SA
AEZAKMI
HESOYAM
UZUMYMW
OHDUDE
JUMPJET
KJKSZPJ
good times
I loved jedi outcast because of the huge amount of cheats for everything.
Spawn any npc, and choose what side they fight for, give yourself nonsensical force powers, change physics, give yourself an AT-ST or an X-wing, turn on realistic lightsaber combat and maximum dismemberment, so you could just run through crowds of people sending limbs flying everywhere.
I remember having about 6 or 7 pages of cheats printed off for that game.
Im hoping Saints Row 3 has cheats, Evil Cars in the Original. My god...
I still remember
cheese steak jimmy's - AOE2
thereisnospoon - WC3
bigmomma - AOE
and other such fun named cheats.
I loved the Chaos Mode in the GTA games. GTA IV didn't have it and I mad they didn't include it. Luckily, you can play it with a .NetScriptHook mod.
Also, I use to only cheat after I've beaten a game at least once.

They also did easter eggs, but not anymore!

She's so pretty.
My penis > her vagina
Rosebud for Money in the Original Sims.
I alway remember finishing games and then being told all the cheats, gave an incentive to replay some titles, if only to fuck about while doing so.

Fly right to the end button.
The recent lego games have cheats.
But you're right, more games should have them.

Splintercell Chaos Theory. Good times.
Also AoE and AoE2 had some of the best RTS cheats. Like 'bigdaddy' to create a laser shooting supercar, or 'e=mc2' for an astronaut with a laser gun. Or that one I can't remember to summon Samson with a giant log.
About a year ago I bought a magazine that came with a 'cheat book'. It was almost entirely a list of achievements associated with the games.
The real question is why doesn't modern games have devent fucking manuals anymore, theres nothing in them now, where the fallout 2 manual was quite thick and even included themed recipies at the end.
Seems the days are over, and Steam has taken over the world.
It seems it's just about unlocking achievements. Which is fine by me, and most
PC games that would seem more challenging don't have cheats, and besides like Deus Ex Revolutions, it certifiably would had cheats like
the originals. Properly because it was produced by Square Enix and they don't do cheats. dumb.
Tony Hawk Underground, ~~~grind forever~~~

The Kotor manual had over 70 pages with stratagies, suggestions on character buils and practically everything had a lore fitting explination.

Sucks that it didn't give you a sled instead.
Well, trainers aren't exactly the same, sure you can actually do more with most of them, but those cheat codes had some fun stuff
I remember in Tony Hawk's Proving Ground entering a cheat code that allowed me to super punch people like 50 ft into the air. I remember trying this on a mission that made you have to punch 5 of these gang members into a lake or something like that. I remember checking one of them out over a fence into a parking lot and seeing him go into an area you normally couldn't see. There were no walls to stop the gang member so the next thing I see the person continue to slide across this parking lot and going over the edge. The camera is focused on this person the entire time. I see the person now just falling and falling and falling. The score at the top of the screen measures in feet how far the person has gone. In ten minutes, its around 10000 feet. O_O. Oh the good old days of cheats, being able to pull stuff off like this was fun.

GTA seems to be the only game with fun cheats
Even then GTA IV pales in comparison to the loadsa hilarious cheats that San Andreas had. I miss flying cars :(
saints row with evil cars = win

Saving paper, etc. Having a big as fuck manual is a waste when you can open something up in a word processor.
I mostly miss the "summon" and "spawn" console commands of old Quake and Unreal engine games.
What's that Deus Ex? Spawn 100 UNATCO Troopers in the middle of this fire-fight? GOOD IDEA.
Heh yeah, always had a blast playing with cheats in Deus Ex. I remember one time I made everyone violent in Unatco with swords:
BIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANG BIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANG BIGBANGBIGBANGBIGBANG...
I loved to watch as all the cars fly to the moon apart from that one that comes back down and kills me. :rage:
