I always remember the console command for the old Jedi Knight games to enable cheats. Valve games have sv_cheats 1. Jedi Knight had "helpusobi 1" clever motherfuckers
devmapall bind b npc spawn bespincop
I would always spam these guys all over the place. Even in large numbers they still managed to get their asses handed to them by the stormies. [editline]12th September 2011[/editline]
GTA:SA was the best just because of the cheats it had, they were SO MUCH FUN!
This. I spent hours playing while having the pedestrians have weapons, maximum respect, pedestrians riot, aggressive traffic, and recruit anyone cheats on. I would then end up recruiting a bunch of police officers and letting hilarity ensue.

If I were to guess, I'd say that modern games don't have cheats because it would be cheating.
I remember using the health cheat in Half-Life 2 to get through the "Water Hazard" level back on the orignal Xbox. Was saddened when I got to the ramp part and found out only the airboat can go over it.
I still remember using the tiny soldier cheat on Army Men: Sarge's Heroes. It looked so funny using the flamethrower; the fuel tank was bigger than you were.
HESOYAM. I lol'd whenever someone in MTA or SA-MP type that thinking it would work.
More games need cheats that spawn NPCs. Before I got Garry's Mod, I would spend hours in Jedi Knight Academy just making epic battles between stormtroopers and rebels, and flying around in X-Wings. Also, 2500th post.
mercenaries had the best cheats, it was pretty much "fuck your shit im han solo this is my tank now"
Yesssss! I'd always change my playermodel to the Russian gangster because he looked so badass.
I bought san andreas when it came out and cheated after the first day, I then saved and the disc corrupted (it apparently does that when you save with cheats) I saved the money for san andreas for MONTHS.
coopa22cool Anyone else remember that glorious cheatcode?
only when my fuckass brother decided to delete all my saves.. he did it alot too
I've never ever had a GTA save become corrupted from using cheats?
I did not like how GTA4 had only lame cheats. I always loved to activate the angry population cheat and everyone owns weapons cheat in Vice City. Riots everywhere :v:
Rt, Black, Lt, Black, left, down, right, up, left, down, down, down. Weapon set #3 For original xbox.
Circle, right, circle, right, left, square, triangle, up. I think. L1, R1, square, R1, left, R2, R1, left, square, down, L1, L1 too.

Anyone remember L33T SUPA H4X0R & TROJAN HORSE FOR SALE? You're a winner if you remember what game these cheats were in.

Star Wars Episode 1: Racer. Two controllers, one for each engine. Now that was podracing.

Saint's Row 2 had cool cheats so I'm guessing SR3 will
I remember using the Warp to Level cheat during multiplayer in Turok 2 so I could play co-op with my buddies. It fucked up the teleporters, so you could only pick specific levels or boss battles.
This is how big game developers see it.
The only reason why I went to GameWinners.
I remember the cheats for Dark Forces back in the day. lainventory labug laimlame
I do, but some are unstable and crash the game. Others turn out to be fake and are some form of malware.
Or they cost money. :/
I felt the cheats in AC Brotherhood were kind of silly. You got them for 100% a memory (which fair enough, felt like a bit of an achievement) but then I find out that you can only use cheats when replaying individual memories, which just sucks.
You can play as desmond in any sequence you wish. Don't know about the invincibility one, but once again good luck to die in this game even without the cheat. Also, DNKROZ / DNWEAPONS [editline]16th September 2011[/editline]
Or they cost money. :/
If you're thinking of cheathappens, they are hiding malwares in their trainers, don't use them, not even the free ones.
If you're thinking of cheathappens, they are hiding malwares in their trainers, don't use them, not even the free ones.
I assume you have evidence to backup this claim.
