Thought this had been released and was just so mindblowingly shit that no one cared to talk about it. Will probably take the risk and give it a go, i did rather enjoy postal 2 after all

I don't think it's the engine's fault. They seem to think that people play postal for half naked women, stupid missions and z list celebrity cameos. They don't. People play Postal to play with the crazy weapons and torture and kill innocent NPCS to make themselves and their friends laugh.

The problem with the engine is that if you're not experienced it's quite easily a shit game.

this game honestly looks absolutely fucking terrible, and this is coming from someone who found gary coleman's appearance (and subsequent death) in postal 2 amusing it looks like a really bad HL2 mod from 2005 [editline]13th October 2011[/editline] this actually looks worse than the movie, and that was excruciatingly bad

I've found the problem. They've been developing it for literally everything. PS3/ PC / Xbox360 / Mac / Linux. Kinda feels like they're going about everything the wrong way. Although I'll be happy if I'm able to walk into somebody's house, kick him in the face and ask him to sign my petition again.

Looks like they updated it to the L4D2 engine, with the colorful silhouettes.

actually does it have diagonal running animations yet, the in progress build I saw about a year ago had animations that rivalled fallout 3's also the third person mode is stupid, it would really benefit from being a first person game

The first Postal will always seem to have the best feel and it also made everything right... Gameplay videos from postal one already look more appealing and fun to me than postal 2 or 3, I really dislike what they did with this game.

Almost all footage released is Alpha Footage. so yeah good job judging a game on its old ass footage.

Not so much the actual graphics, since they're really just sub-par at worst (and can be excused since it's kind of supposed to be going for a cartoonish style for character models and such), but more the really stiff and floaty animations. They may have fixed them by now, but they haven't shown it, which makes it look bad. Although all that's understandable if the development team is as small as it was when they did Postal 2, because back then, they were only a tad larger than your average mod team.
