Clay on a beach. Is it grey, or is it red? I made the clay red because you don't see grey clay on a beach
Looks like sand bro.
[editline]6th June 2011[/editline]
ah whatever.
[editline]6th June 2011[/editline]
Also, all natural clay I've found (In rivers and lakes and stuff) has been gray.
The furnace you've used looks nearly identical to the default one, with just a few minor details changed.
You don't have to use mine, it's just there for consideration I suppose.
This is probably why I thought no-one had done the furnace, it simply looks alot like the default one. Also, we should do a higher resolution of this later on.
Did tilled soil, and with that I believe we're done with the terrain file

Unless we want to re do repeaters that is
Wait shit forgot sandstone..... damn.
We also need Soul Sand. You know, the Nether block that looks like an amalgamation of Creeper faces.
If no one has taken Ghasts yet I declare them that is if we are allowed to do mobs yet.
whipped up some basic soul sand

Make it a bunch of small brown BAN signs

That's actually not dumb, the rating is just because it is a box
It doesn't look like it'd tile well.
Just a suggestion: Make redstone torches look like large batteries. :v:
Declaring redstone torches with this man's brilliant idea!
Here it is, it looks like a giant logoless Duracell AA battery:

Added the battery. Here's a zip with the terrain.png, two basic things, and the creeper skin:

Why? We've been looking at and critiquing the textures throughout the thread. Anyone who wants to use this pack has probably read through the thread.
[sp]Translation: No, I'm lazy.[/sp]
Reuploaded because Megaupload sucks.
I do admit, it does look more like a bird shat on it, rather than an informative rating embedded inside a block of lapis lazuli.
I thought it was meant to be a star.
[editline]8th June 2011[/editline]
Umm, I don't understand what you did with the ores. It looks really odd. The rock is okay but the ore's shading doesn't fit at all. It looks like you just cut the original ore into pieces and slapped it onto the rock.
The star looks especially bad. Look at the wrench. It actually looks like it's protruding from the rock, meanwhile the star looks like some kind of illusion, or a drawing someone made on the rock that got partially erased.
In fact I'm going to just say that I think the broken ores look hideous. I'm sorry, but I don't see what you guys think is so great about it.

Here's the edit I made earlier, but with little extra bits thrown in. If I were to mess with the main part of the ore, I'd fix the shading instead of attacking it with the eraser tool and drawing nonsensical outlines around it
Everyone agrees with this yet it still isn't in the terrain.png
WHY

If anyone has anything they'd prefer replacing something else (Old lapis, old gold etc.) then feel free to ask. I'll only do terrain and items though, you guys do mobs in zips and stuff.
Also, I attempted a more natural holey iron ore:

Wait, maybe they agree because it's an agree? GAH MY HEAD
[editline]8th June 2011[/editline]
LOL edits.
I'll see what I can do with the gold and coal. The gold's gonna be hard because there's very little space to add cracks and extra bits of ore.
Actually the funny icon might work, you could make the mouth into a crack and the eyes could be bumps in the surface...
I'm only using this is the Creepers skin makes it look like a pingas.

google georgia red clay
Someone wanna redo the lapis block? It really does look a bit shit compared to other things.
:smith:
Make rain red for Firerain.
Make Cactus Green the Optimistic rating.
I'm going to work on Sand stone.
I think for the redwire lights, we should have :downs: for it on, and :saddowns: for it off.

Umm, what?
We still need all those sand blocks
IMO the sand can be brighter, and the gravel looks like wood and should be redone
IMO the sand can be brighter, and the gravel looks like wood and should be redone
I don't think it looks like wood. Then again, I made the texture...
Just something I noticed:The redstone heart still has vanilla stone around it,can someone fix it?
Oh my god, this texture pack looks incredibly sexy in game.
